  • He said it was a 'dangerous area' and had a problem with the drug 'ice'

Outspoken comedian Russell Brand has caused a stir among his Perth audience by labelling West Coast Eagles fans 'bogans', implying the suburb of Armadale had a drug problem and described Brownlow Medal-winning footballer Nat Fyfe's body as 'gorgeous' and 'ripped'.

Never one to shy away from controversy, Brand shared his thoughts on the differences between supporters of the Eagles and their neighbouring AFL rivals, the Fremantle Dockers.

'Eagles and the Dockers - now typically one is a bit more bogan than the other I've found,' he said at his Perth Area show on Tuesday night, according to WA Today.

'I'm guessing the Eagles is the bogan one from the early shouting [from the crowd]. The Aussie rules footy, f**king hell everyone, it's a bit odd that the word "rules" is in the title when that seems to be the primary thing that is dispensed with, along with sleeves.'

During the show, Brand also took aim at Australia's tough quarantine laws and the methamphetamines epidemic.

He questioned why fruit coming into the country came under so much scrutiny when there were bigger issues for the government to tackle.

'Then you arrive and everyone's on meth - you need to reconsider your priorities,' Brand said.

The British comedian also spoke about Armadale - a suburb in Perth's south - saying it was a 'bit dangerous' and warned people should not go there 'unless you explicitly require meth'.

At the end of the show, he offered to take one woman in the crowd named Katie home with him to the U.K. and took her phone, which he later used to call her mum and thank her for his new wife.

He even joked it was 'convenient' the audience member was named 'Katie' - an obvious reference to his singer ex-wife, Katy Perry.

Brand is currently travelling around the country with his Trew World Order show and has already raised eyebrows for an interview he did on Network Ten's The Project when he discussed Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull's Cayman Islands investments.

'Having your money in the Cayman Islands is like putting your d**k into custard,' the comedian said.

The British comedian also left Today show entertainment reporter Richard Wilkins red-faced when Brand questioned the journalist's sexuality

'We all want to do it, but it's no rational reason to do it. If your d**k’s in a bowl of custard, you're doing it for a reason.'

Brand's comments about Australia's new Prime Minister were cut short by panellist Peter Hellier who reminded him The Project was a live television show.

Earlier this week, he also left Channel Nine's Today show entertainment reporter Richard Wilkins red-faced when he questioned his sexuality.

'Everyone is Miss Right when you are in the right mood,' the 40-year-old said before asking the journalist: 'You got a girlfriend, a lover, a boyfriend? I don't know what you like.'

Trying to turn his face away from the camera, Richard burst into laughter before answering he was 'very hetrosexual', leaving Russell gobsmacked.

'What does that even mean?' he asked before bursting into a laugh, adding: 'I cut me b**** off and keep them in my pocket.'

Leaving the red faced reporter lost for words, Russell continued: 'This is like a chat at a bus stop.'
