She recalled how Sidney confronted her one day and said: 'I don’t want to live with you anymore.’

'She basically left home that day and two years later has not come back,’ she sobbed, insisting she had 'no idea where it was coming from’.

'I was trying to do everything I could do to try to get her back and I couldn’t understand why Sydney left,' she wailed.

Tamra said she once got a text from Sidney who told her 'I love you’ only for that to be ruined by stories in the press about her custody battle with Sidney’s dad.

'She never talked to me again,’ she said tearfully.

'I tried so hard to get her help - went to court, went to therapy,’ she said, insisting her ex shut her down.

'I went to court to get her help - and he fought me not to get here help. And he won. The judge said, ''She’s 17, she can choose who she wants to live with'' - and that’s it.’

To make matters worse, her son Spencer lives with her and refuses to speak to his dad.

'So the whole family is just so separated,’ she sobbed.

When Cohen asked why she kept it hidden from the reality TV show, she said: 'If your child turns her back on you it’s humiliating, its embarrassing. And then I’m in the press being called ''a monster mom''…’

She said it was at a time where she spent all day 'laying in bed thinking, ''I can’t do this anymore''’ that a woman at work who she hardly knew approached her and asked if she wanted to go to church.

'And I said, ''Yeah I do because I really think I’m going to die right now''.

'We went to church and I remember sitting there and I was crying and crying and crying, and I went back and back and back,’ she recalled of being in church, saying it sparked her newfound faith that saw her getting baptized on the show.

'It felt right - it gave me what I needed,' she added.

When Cohen warned that her ex-husband may respond to her speaking out on the reunion, she insisted: 'I don’t care anymore - he’s not going to push me around, tell me what to do. I’ve kept quiet because of him for so long and now I’m speaking out.’

And while clearly hurt and angry at her ex, she also insisted: 'Sometimes you have to go through stuff like that to go to a better place. I wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for him.’

Meanwhile, fellow housewife Vicki Gunvalson defended the show for filming her harrowing howls of grief when she discovered her mother had died, insisting it was all genuine.

And she also insisted that she has failed to control the pain of her loss, insisting: 'It's actually gotten worse - I never thought my mother would die.’

During the season, Vicki repeatedly spoke of being overwhelmed by mourning her mother - feelings she insisted have since only grown more intense.

'It's actually gotten worse,’ she said.

'Our void has gotten worse. I need my mom. I don't feel like I have anybody watching over me.

'It’s an unbelievable feeling when you don’t have a mother because there’s waves that hit during the day and at night when you’re sleeping - I’m having a real tough time just finding peace in not having her in my life.’

She then admitted 'I never thought she’d die - it’s so stupid but I never really thought she’d die.

'I always joked with her that I wanted to die first because I didn’t want to have the pain.’

She also admitted that she never found the exact cause of death, saying they 'didn’t do an autopsy because we didn’t want her cut up’.

Guessing that the cause of death was 'either a massive heart attack or a brain aneurysm’, she added: ’It was something that took her quick.’

Asked for a funny story about her mother, Vicki recalled the time she had keyed a motorcycle after the tailgating rider flipped her off - even though she was 80 years old.

'He was watching her do this so of course he called the police,’ she recalled as the other women laughed.

Thinking she’s about to be arrested, Vicki recalled her mother 'dumped her cart, went into the women’s bathroom and she locks the door’ refusing to answer to the police.

Vicki said her mother even told the officers she had a pistol in her bag even though she didn’t.
