This is shocking moment a heated row broke out between a BMW driver and two paramedics in an extraordinary stand-off over who had the right of way. Video footage has emerged showing businessman Neil Waugh becoming embroiled in a fiery argument with the paramedics after they claimed he was 'obstructing a patient getting to hospital'. The shouting match came after the ambulance approached Tongdean Lane in Brighton, East Sussex, but was unable to get through because the BMW (right) and a Tesco delivery van were blocking the entrance. In the video, one of the South East Coast Ambulance Service paramedics can be seen getting out of the ambulance and marching towards Mr Waugh saying: 'you are obstructing a patient getting to hospital' (left). However, Mr Waugh has claimed he did not block the path of the ambulance and has filed a formal complaint against the ambulance service.

A source on the island accused the Ministry of Defence of allowing the boats to reach the base 'unchallenged' and raised fears they could have been militants from the Islamic State. The MoD said that it expected the migrants to be handed over to the Cypriot authorities once they had been processed.

A neighbour said the injured man was ringing on all the flat buzzers for help before eventually a woman answered and came to his aid.  Police were called to a housing estate in Basildon, Essex, at around 9.30pm on Tuesday (20/10 .  The man, who lived in the town, was treated by paramedics and an air ambulance crew before being rushed to Basildon Hospital where he died from his injuries.  Some residents have been told not to leave their homes and some children have missed school as forensic officers work on the street.

The man, who is aged in his 40s, pleaded for help after staggering to a block of flats in Basildon, Essex, after being stabbed during an 'altercation' with around five youths or young men last night.
