A tweet where she declared to be 'forever Israel', one man responded: '@jennajameson I used to worship you. If you had the soul to feel the plight of innocent Palestinians, I would respect you.'

However, the critique has been drowned by Ms Jameson herself, who has continued to post frequently in support of Israel.

In another post she attacked Daniel Day Lewis, re-tweeting a picture with a quote from a 2005 article written by the actor where he took a stance for the Palestinian people,

The post called Day Lewis a terrorist, to which Jameson added: 'Maybe he should go reside in Israel and then get back to us'.

This caused one of her followers to reply: 'Maybe you should go reside in Palestine and then get back to us?'

The erotic award winner who also describes herself as a webcam model and entrepreneur, has clearly been taking her conversion very seriously, frequently posting on her social media channels about her new religion.

Her partner Mr Lior, 39, a businessman set to become Mr Jameson no. 3, appears to had such a profound effect on his bride to be she has also taken up Hebrew.

While taking part in this year's Celebrity Big Brother, she famously got into a fight with former supermodel Janice Dickinson after the latter had eaten from her kosher fridge.

Staunch republican Ms Jameson, who was once dubbed the 'Queen of Porn' after starring in more than 100 erotic films, has also been taking to Twitter to show her support for Marco Rubio and Donald Trump.

Last week, the Israeli government ordered an intensification of punitive home demolitions in response to the wave of unrest.

It says the controversial policy acts as a deterrent but critics say the main victims of such demolitions are relatives forced to pay for another person's actions.

UN chief Ban Ki-moon is set to make an unannounced visit to Israel and the Palestinian territories today to try to calm nearly three weeks of violence.

Young Palestinians have defied an Israeli security crackdown, and calls for non-violence from Palestinian president Mahmud Abbas, to carry out repeated knife and other attacks on Jews.

There have also been violent protests across the Palestinian territories. Palestinians, some armed with knives, protested in Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip today.

International concern has mounted, with US Secretary of State John Kerry due to meet Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in Germany this week and Abbas later at an unspecified location in the Middle East.
