As her native Australians begin to strip off for the summer months, Naomi Watts is starting to layer up to avoid the New York chill.

The 47-year-old British-born star looked chic on Monday when she was spotted in trendy Soho with her two boys.

The King Kong actress wore matching cream accessories to pair up with her elegant coat that complimented her blonde tresses and milky skin to perfection.

She added skinny black jeans and grey ankle to complete her laidback look as she picked up the boys Sasha and Samuel from school.

Her almost identical, blonde-haired boys carried their own backpacks as the family negotiated the busy city streets.

Samuel, six, and Sasha, eight, look the spitting image of their Birdman actress mother with their long blonde locks.

Naomi, who has been with partner Liev Schreiber since 2005 treated herself to some pink blooms while she also carried some groceries.

The boys, meanwhile, were treated to some chocolate ice-creams by their Hollywood A-list actress mother. 

While the family live together in New York, they spend most summers in The Hamptons, and often travel for Naomi's and Liev's work projects.

The busy mother is now gearing up for her next silver screen roles, including the drama Demolition and the psychologically thriller Shut, both scheduled for release in 2016.

She is also currently filming The Divergent Series: Allegiant, with the next Divergent instalment set to follow.

Her American actor husband stars in drama Spotlight with Michael Keaton and Rachel McAdams.
