Miley Cyrus shares photo of elaborate shrine to dog Floyd who was killed last year... as she gears up for Dead Petz Tour

Miley Cyrus started making a shrine to her dead dog Floyd after he was killed last year.

And the 22-year-old shared a photo of the increasingly large memorial on Instagram in the early hours of Tuesday morning.

The shrine is elaborately decorated with colourful fake flowers and beads, photos and drawings of Floyd and cuddly husky toys.

There’s also an urn, which presumably holds Floyd’s ashes, with several crosses and dream catchers behind it.

‘Admiring the #FloydShrine so stoked for the dead petzzzzz tour!’ she wrote.

‘Let's get a Pablow shrine going,’ Miley added, referring to her dead puffer fish. ‘I collected most of these beautiful alter ornaments from da last time out on the road.

‘Some of these pieces crafted by none other than my angelic show go-erzz.’

She had earlier shared a close-up photo of one section of the memorial, with the caption: ‘Sending love & light up to my baby tonight #imissufloyd.’ 

Floyd – who Miley adopted in 2011 – was attacked and killed by a coyote in April 2014, while Miley was away on her Bangerz tour.

During many of her subsequent performances the pop star, who admitted that the Alaskan Klee Kai was her ‘favourite’ of all her pets, brought out inflatable and cuddly versions of her dog.

Two years earlier, Miley’s two-year-old Yorkshire Terrier Lila died after being attacked by one of her other dogs, Ziggy. She then Ziggy away.

Miley still has five dogs – Mary Jane, Happy, Penny Lane, Emu and Bean, as well as three cats – Shanti Om Bb, Lilo and Kiki, and a pig named Bubba Sue.

The former Disney star will soon kick off the Miley Cyrus & Her Dead Petz Tour, a limited club-run tour which will go from November 19 to December 6.

Miley will perform in Chicago, Detroit, Washington, D.C., New York City, Philadelphia and Boston.
