'You don't seem to be alone': Ellen DeGeneres teases Nick Jonas about his rumored fling with Kate Hudson

Rumors have been swirling about Nick Jonas, 23, and Kate Hudson, 36, after they were spotted hanging out in Disney World and Miami this past September and party hopping most recently in New York City this past week.

So of course Ellen DeGeneres couldn't resist teasing the Scream Queens star about the rumored coupling when he stopped by The Ellen DeGeneres Show to promote a few of his latest projects.

Discussing his breakup with former Miss USA Olivia Culpo, Nick noted 'it was an adjustment' touring alone, though Ellen was quick to point out: 'You don't seem to be alone.'

Ellen had first brought up the subject by congratulating him on all of his success this year, what with his new music, touring, and appearing on two TV shows - Kingdom and Scream Queens.

She then mentioned the breakup, commenting: 'I know that you went through a breakup recently, you seem to be doing fine, you seem to be doing okay.'

However, Nick was unfazed at first, as he explained the difficult transition of coping after the end of his two-year relationship with Olivia.

Caught him off-guard: Nick seemed a bit confused when Ellen suggested he wasn't alone, after which she noted: 'Well, because there’s someone who ends up being in the same city as you all the time, coincidentally'

'Ish, yeah,' he said, elaborating: 'You know, it’s an adjustment. I was with my ex for two years and when my life dramatically changed - I started touring and doing all of these projects - it was an adjustment doing it alone.'

That's when Ellen pushed a bit more, noting he didn't 'seem to be alone,' after which the Levels hitmaker appeared to get a little flustered, as he laughed nervously before asking: 'What makes you say that?'

Quick to tease her guest - and tenant, as he's currently living in Ellen's house - the host grinned as she quipped: 'Well, because there’s someone who ends up being in the same city as you all the time, coincidentally.'

On the spot: The Levels hitmaker clearly seemed a little embarrassed as Ellen tried to get him to admit to his rumored fling with Kate as he began to laugh nervously following her question

However, just as speedily she let him off the hook, commenting on how long she's known the singer and complimenting him for transitioning so smoothly from a child star to where he is today.

'You've always been talented and adorable,' she said of the star, who first found fame with the Jonas Brothers (his band with older brothers Kevin and Joe) at only 15 years old.

Ellen also gushed: 'You're bigger and better than ever and you're the nicest guy. Good for you for staying the same guy.'

Nick's most recent hit - Levels - sits at number 44 on the Billboard Hot 100, and he currently stars on DirecTV's Kingdom and Fox's Scream Queens.
