It's 2015 and as the film Back to the Future predicted, Marty McFly finally has his own pair of self-tying sneakers.
Michael J. Fox, who played the beloved character in the film franchise, has been gifted the first pair of self-lacing Nike Mag shoes on Wednesday's Back to the Future Day. During Back to the 1989 film Future Part II, Marty travels to October 21, 2015 and puts on a pair of Nike High Tops that automatically tighten and adjust to fit his feet - using so-called power laces.
A photo of the 54-year-old actor trying on the first pair of the Back to the Future-inspired sneakers was shared on Twitter on Wednesday afternoon by the Michael J. Fox Foundation For Parkinson's Research.

At last: Fans of the movie are no doubt overjoyed to learn that the first pair of the shoes already exists
'This is real. This is today. Coming spring 2016,' the picture was captioned.
Earlier on Wednesday, Michael took to Twitter to share a photo of a letter Nike designer Tinker Hatfield sent him explaining that Nike wanted him to have the first pair of self-lacing Nike Mag sneakers.
'As the first, most celebrated wearer of the Nike Air Mag, we wanted you to be the first to receive a living pair. "I meant Nike Mag" (I must have "Air" on the brain)!' Tinker wrote to Michael.
The designer added: 'If my calculations are correct...your pair should be with you shortly.'
And Tinker wasn't kidding. Michael, who celebrated Back to the Future Day by bringing the film's gull-winged DeLorean to the the New York City set of Live with Kelly and Michael, was given the highly-anticipated sneakers soon after he received the letter.

Take a hint: Nike teased the arrival of the Back to the Future-inspired sneakers by sending a tweet to the franchise's star on Tuesday before confirming 'first pair of self-lacing Nike Mag shoes is in New York City'
Amazing announcment: Early Wednesday morning, on Back to the Future Day, CNBC correspondent Sarah Eisen shared the exciting with her 57,000 Twitter followers
Nike confirmed to Mashable on Wednesday morning that the 'first pair of self-lacing Nike Mag shoes is in New York City'.
On Tuesday, Nike hinted of the trainers' existence by sending atweet to Michael that read: '@realmikefox see you tomorrow.'
The next day CNBC correspondent Sarah Eisen also shared the news with her 57,000 Twitter followers when she tweeted: 'This is major: A source at Nike confirms to me the first pair of self-lacing Nike Mag shoes are in NYC. $nke #backtothefuture #mag.'
Aside from the time traveling DeLorean and coveted hoverboard, the Back To The Future franchise featured another simpler, yet equally futuristic design - self-tying laces.
Nike released a limited range of McFly's Nike MAGs with manual laces in 2011, and earlier this year Tinker revealed the power laces would arrive in 2015 - the year Back To the Future II was set in.
Without giving a release date, Tinker confirmed that his team is working as hard as possible to deliver the Nike MAG in 2015 with Power Laces, but also reminded us all that we still have '11 and two-thirds months left in 2015″, according to Nice Kicks.

Hint hint: Rumors about the technology have been circling since 2010, after which Nike released a limited range of Back To The Future-inspired High Tops (pictured)
'Are we going to see power laces in 2015? To that, I say yes.'
Rumors about the technology have been circling since 2010 when Nike applied for a patent for 'automatically lacing trainers.'
It said: 'The automatic lacing system provides a set of straps that can be automatically opened and closed to switch between a loosened and tightened position of the upper.
'The article further includes an automatic ankle cinching system that is configured to automatically adjust an ankle portion of the upper.'
The Back To The Future-inspired Nike MAG range was then launched in 2011.
Only 1,500 models of the High Tops were made, and every pair was auctioned off on eBay.
A total of $6 million was raised from the sales of these shoes, and all the proceeds went to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research.
Meanwhile, San Francisco-based inventor Blake Bevin has already created her own self-tying laces, a prototype which she says will 'tide you over until Nike comes out with something more polished'.
Using an Arduino microcontroller, Bevin fitted a sensor to a Nike High Top.
When a person steps into the shoe, a force sensor reads the pressure of their foot and activates two servo motors, which apply tension to the laces, tightening the shoe.
A touch switch can be used to reverse the servos.
