She's famed for her enviable womanly figure.

But Kate Upton proved she has to work just as hard as the next person to hone her hour-glass physique as she was pictured leaving her local gym in West Hollywood, California, on Tuesday, dripping with sweat.

The 23-year-old pin-up proudly displayed the results of a gruelling exercise session as she emerged from Rise Movement on Melrose Avenue dressed in skin-tight gymwear, with her figure-hugging fitness kit not going unnoticed by her personal trainer.

Kate sported a clingy grey T-shirt which accentuated her bountiful chest and curvaceous top half.

The model's choice of workout top was perhaps not her best as the pale colour did nothing to hide the patches of sweat which were splattered across her shoulders and under her arms.

Despite the seemingly embarrassing situation, Kate proudly embraced the wardrobe malfunction and was pictured beaming rather than blushing.

We're more used to seeing Kate Upton in a cleavage enhancing dress on a red carpet but yesterday she was in full work out mode after a session at the gym.

But we're going to ignore her leggings, T-shirt and trainers and focus on her very cute bag. It's by Bottega Veneta and increases the value of her outfit by about 100%. But you know she's a supermodel so of course there had to be a bit of designer action in their somewhere...

The Sports Illustrated Swimsuit star teamed the wet T-shirt with a pair of contrasting bright pink leggings which only served to highlight the slenderness of her famous pins and her shapely derriere - which Kate's trainer was spotted admiring as she got stuck into her workout.

Kate - who is more often than not pictured preened to perfection in all variety of high-fashion editorials - proved the real extent of her genetically-blessed beauty as she sensibly forwent make-up for the sweat session.

Her skin looked flawless, boasting an even skintone and not a hint of one blemish, despite the fact she was evidently worn out from the workout.

Kate has somewhat shied away from the limelight in recent weeks, choosing to spend time with her beloved boyfriend - Justin Verlander - and friends in Los Angeles over glitzy A-list events.

While many hail Kate as a fashion icon, she recently confessed her the baseball pitcher has a better dress sense than her. 

She told E! News: 'He's actually a little more fashionable than me. But he has a job that doesn't involve wearing clothes and prancing around.'

Kate is set to add to her acting credits as she appears in a supporting role in road-trip comedy, The Layover, which is scheduled for release next year.
