They've been dating longer than most Hollywood couples are married.

But that doesn't mean the romance has fizzled between Joshua Jackson and Diane Kruger, who were spotted smooching on Wednesday.

The time-tested couple, who have been dating since 2006, proved they were still very much in love as they stopped for a smack on the lips while strolling together through NYC.

Diane, 39, looked fresh-faced and make-up free, if a little chilly in the brisk New York breeze.

She wore trainers and tight blue three-quarter length leggings that bravely bared her calves to the algid autumnal air.

On top she looked a little cosier with two lairs of heavy cardigan and a warm coffee, while she clutched some paperwork to her chest.

Her 37-year-old beau meanwhile certainly dressed for the weather in grey jeans and high tops, a fleece-lined zip-up and a flat cap on top, while matching his lady's Starbucks.

Despite coming up on their ten-year anniversary together, Kruger has previously stated she has no intention of marrying again; she wedded French actor and director Guillaume Canet in 2001 but they divorced five years later.

Jackson's highest profile relationship was to his Dawson's creek co-star Katie Holmes, who went on to marry, have a child with and then divorce Tom Cruise.

While Jackson's real life relationship appears to be still on the straight and narrow, his onscreen one is anything but, as The Affair sneaks into its second season.

In the Golden Globe-winning series, he plays Cole Lockheart, whose partner Alison (Ruth Wilson) is engaged in the titular affair with Noah, played by Dominic West.

While the first season told the story from the viewpoints of Alison and Noah, the second season has introduced the perspective of Cole as well as Noah's wife Helen (Maura Tierney) - which has served to confuse some critics.

But Jackson told E! News that viewers shouldn't worry about which version is the truth; they should just everyone is telling their version as they see it.

'I think the best way to try and unlock this story, to unlock the narrative is to stop struggling with the objective truth as though any one of the characters might be lying,' he said.

'I think if you just accept that each person is telling their own version of the truth - it's a slightly uncomfortable place as an audience member - but it's ultimately up to you to figure out what seems the realest when you put that pastiche together.

'I don't think that the story is trying to tell is these people are liars, it's only that their internal monologue, their version of reality, does have some wide variances.'
