According to IMDB, the new film tells the tale of 'an actress mother and her estranged gay son's lives intersect with those of two medical professionals after an unexpected tragedy, forcing secrets to be revealed and personal demons to be dealt with.'

The project, which was released in Canada in September, is directed by Guy Édoin - whose previous credits include 2011's Wetlands.

The mother-of-two recently declared she believes 'good sex' is key to a healthy lifestyle, along with eating and drinking well and laughing often.

She added that she's no fan of the 'eat clean, train mean' mantra and said: 'I'm not someone who wakes up at 6am to go to the gym.

'So I just didn't eat pasta for a few days before we started shooting and that was about it. Because the truth is I like cakes and pasta, the odd glass of wine and very occasional cigarette,' in the interview with the Sunday Telegraph's Stella magazine.

While she's not been shy about stripping off for sex scenes in her 25-year film career to date, the Italian-born mother-of-two has vowed to not do any more.

She finished: '[I'll do] sexy, but not nude. I have done them in the past, of course - and it's not because I've had children that I have to do things that are proper.

'I'm an actress, so I had to use my body to express so many things.'
