Kylie Jenner's artificially-plumped pout may soon become a thing of the past.

The 18-year-old reality star teased a return to her 'classic Kylie' style, completely with naturally-thin lips, with a video posted on her app on October 19, in which she confesses that she is tiring of the big-lipped look.

'You know what's weird? I've been into small lips lately. Like, I want them to look small,' she says.

Does this mean the end? Kylie Jenner, 18, recently confessed that she is 'into small lips' after receiving temporary lip fillers for over a year to help plump her pout

After a year of speculation, Kylie only recently admitted to having temporary lip fillers done when she was just 17 on the newest season of Keeping Up With the Kardashians in May.

'I have had temporary lip fillers,' the then-17-year-old confessed on the show. 'I have had temporary lip fillers.'

When the reality star first started electing for the cosmetic procedure,  she initially insisted that she wasn't getting surgery or fillers at all, but instead attributed her growing lips to expertly-applied lip liner.

After revealing the truth about her fillers however, Kylie was more than happy to publicly praise the plastic surgeon who is responsible for them, explaining in an interview with the New York Times that Los Angeles-based doctor Dr. Simon Ourian is 'super natural' when it comes to plumping up her pout.

'I go to Dr. [Simon] Ourian in Beverly Hills. He’s the best, and he’s super natural about it,' she said of her fillers. 'I was going to somebody before, and it was just looking crazy.

'I would recommend that anyone who gets it done go for a filler that lasts only two to four months. It’s annoying to keep going back, but you have the option of stopping it.'

But it seems that Kylie's 'super natural' pout is no longer her number one priority when it comes to her appearance, if her latest app video is anything to go by.

Luckily for the reality star, her lip fillers are just temporary, so if she opts to leave her lips looking natural once again, it won't be long before they return to her normal size.

Interestingly, just as Kylie appears to be going off the procedure, it seems that the reality star's pout has proven incredibly popular with those seeking inspiration for plastic surgery.

According to Dr Terry Dubrow and Dr Paul Nassif, the resident experts on E! reality series Botched, the 18-year-old's lips are the number one most requested celebrity body part in their Los Angeles plastic surgery practice.

'She really started a trend. It's amazing that someone so young could be so influential in this area,' Dr Dubrow told People

Kylie also spawned an unfortunate trend among teenagers, who began sucking shot glasses in an effort to get her pout, calling the practice 'the Kylie Jenner lip challenge'.

And while many fans are seeking to emulate her surgery, the doctors said they do not think that teenagers should be getting lip injections.

'We've said numerous times on the show that we do not recommend this. Everyone is different, but if someone is asking us to recommend it for their 18-year-old daughter, Terry and I are always going to say no,' said Dr Nassif.

He went on to add: 'No disrespect to Kylie, because we think she's beautiful and the lips are beautiful, but in our personal opinion we suggest waiting.'

Kylie, who has praised the surgeon who did her lip fillers, revealed on Keeping Up With the Kardashians that she had the procedure done because she felt 'insecure' about her pout.

And the youngest Jenner isn't the only famous family member who is inspiring people to go under the knife.

Dr Dubrow recently told Yahoo Beauty that a number of patients on the show's current third season are coming to the doctors with botched butt implants - which they got in order to look like Kim Kardashian, 34.

'It’s the Kardashian effect' he said, noting that the trend is 'concerning', because there is only so much that 'the buttocks will take'.

On the second season of Botched, the plastic surgeons met with Jordan James Parke, who has spent more than $1000,000 to look like Kim.

Dr Nassif and Dr Dubrow have said that they do not want to help people become 'famous Internet freaks', but that they are willing to fix bad surgeries these patients have had.
