Zendaya flaunts her toned torso in striking cut-out jumpsuit at Vogue party... before blasting magazine for editing and slimming down her '19-year-old hips'

She's really coming into her own in the style stakes.

And Zendaya certainly didn't disappoint with her latest look as she stepped out at the Bouchon Restaurant in Beverly Hills on Tuesday evening, for the star-studded Vogue Party.

The 19-year-old looked in great spirits - despite her upset over a heavily manipulated image of herself being released in a magazine at the same time.

She flaunted her toned abs and tall, slender frame in an eye-catching black jumpsuit with a cut-out detail.

The all-in-one was crafted to look like a tiny crop top teamed with a pair of high-waisted trousers with a wide cummerbund, and the overall look was rather effective.

The wide-legged silky satin trousers skimmed over the leggy star's pins loosely, while the waistband accentuated her trim middle.

She flaunted her flat stomach and her chest with the sexy little top part of the garment, a crossover bandeau-style design that slipped off her shoulders.

Graceful: The 19-year-old showed off her willowy frame in the sexy cut-out jumpsuit, that showed off her toned torso, shoulders and cleavage while remaining understated

With her shoulders and decolletage bare - and with her locks cropped into a fierce dark pixie cut - the singer and actress added some bling with a pair of oversized dangling silver earrings.

The star - whose full name is Zendaya Maree Stoermer Coleman - oozed style and sophistication beyond her years as she emerged from the restaurant, carrying a tiny black and silver box clutch and with a beaming, playful smile on her face.

But later in the evening Zendaya revealed her upset over being heavily edited in a newly-released photoshoot in a magazine.

Not impressed: Later on Tuesday, Zendaya took to Instagram to express her 'shock' over being heavily edited in the new issue of Modelist magazine - the left image is the edited version, her hips and torso dramatically slimmed, while the right is the original, natural photo

'I stand for honest and pure self love': The teen star stood up for what she believes in

The teen star took to her Instagram late on Tuesday evening to share the retouched image in Modeliste Magazine, alongside the natural, unedited version.

She shared her sadness at having been so Photoshopped, her hips, thighs and waistline dramatically reduced.

Along with the visibly different before and after image, she explained: 'Had a new shoot come out today and was shocked when I found my 19 year old hips and torso quite manipulated.

'These are the things that make women self conscious, that create the unrealistic ideals of beauty that we have. Anyone who knows who I am knows I stand for honest and pure self love.

She continued: 'So I took it upon myself to release the real pic (right side) and I love it. Thank you @modelistemagazine for pulling down the images and fixing this retouch issue.'

In the photograph, she is seen posing against the gorgeous backdrop of Puerto Vallarta in Mexico, her longer locks cascading over her shoulder while she wears nothing but a short leather jacket tied up at the waist.

With her hips and legs bare, it's easy to see the contrast between the original image and the slimmed-down one.

The actress, the cover girl on this month's issue of the publication, is the latest in a long line of stars to speak out about being digitally altered in the editing room.

And this isn't the first time Zendaya - who rose to fame on Disney Channel programme Shake It Up - has hit back over something concerning her image.

In February this year, she slammed Giuliana Rancic after the Fashion Police host joked the singer might smell of weed, just because she had her hair in dreadlocks.

Good spirits: She looked thrilled to be at the Vogue soiree, but just hours later she had taken to social media to reveal her ire over the shockingly retouched image in the new issue of Modelist

The fashion critic said, of Zendaya's appearance at the Academy Awards: 'I feel like she smells smells like patchouli oil… or maybe weed.'

The teen, who was 18 at the time, reacted furiously on Twitter, accusing the E! anchor of being 'ignorant, disrespectful and outrageously offensive'.

'There is a fine line between what is funny and disrespectful,' she wrote. 'Someone said something about my hair at the Oscars that left me in awe. Not because I was relishing in rave outfit reviews, but because I was hit with ignorant slurs and pure disrespect.

'To say that an 18-year-old young woman with locs must smell of patchouli oil or “weed” is not only a large stereotype but outrageously offensive. I don’t usually feel the need to respond to negative things but certain remarks cannot go unchecked.'
