Shady ladies! Drew Barrymore looks chic in black as she shows off her humorous side with Georgia May Jagger at London Fashion Week event

She's been in London this week to launch her new movie, Miss You Already.

But Drew Barrymore made sure to fit some fun and fashionable socialising into her packed diary, as she went along to a special 'Punked Up' afternoon tea hosted by Sunglass Hut and Georgia May Jagger to celebrate their sponsorship of London Fashion Week on Saturday.

The Hollywood favourite, 40, looked to be getting into the spirit of the daytime party as she cosied up to hostess Georgia, each of them putting on typically stylish displays.

Drew looked far younger than her years as she donned a sleek black top and trouser combination that almost strayed into pyjama-suit territory.

The actress teamed her printed matching separates with a pair of beige snake-skin peep toe heels, adding height to her petite frame, and a cool gold necklace with a circular pendant.

Her honey blonde and almost ombre locks were worn loose over her shoulders for the day, but she added some glamour with her tresses tamed into a voluminous beehive.

Go for laid-back luxe in Drew's Stella McCartney top

Her ultimate laid back style is our favorite and Drew Barrymore nailed the pajama trend this week when at The Sunglasses Hut event with London Fashion Week.

Drew's Stella McCartney co-ord is the perfect outfit to look chic but be oh-so-comfy in. The jacquard design gives it the shiny luxe you need to stop it looking too casual, and her gold heels and tousled hair are exactly how we would style it!

The pajama trend is a tricky one, so you need to use the accessories to jazz it up. With metallic and bright colors, keep the make up and hair simple and the heels super glamorous to really get it right.

You can get Drew's exact top from My Theresa (click right) whilst the high street has lots of jacquard styles for a bit less!

And, given that it was an event for the sunglasses brand, she wore her stylish shades for much of the day, posing humorously with them pushed down over her nose so she could gaze over them playfully.

Drew looked to have made good pals with Georgia, 23, who acted as the host for the LFW event.

She certainly took the punk theme to heart, flaunting her enviable supermodel figure in a tiny black crop top with strappy sides and a pink and brown tartan skirt, cut to just above her knees.

The daughter of rocker Mick Jagger and model Jerry Hall injected more vibrancy into her ensemble, with a bright green clutch bag and a pair of divisive green heels with a yellow fur trim.

The blonde stunner's hair was straightened to within an inch of its life, cascading poker-straight down over her bare shoulders, and she too made sure her sunglasses were on her face - or head - at all times.

Comic genius Drew got her fans giggling before she went along to the afternoon get-together, as she shared a picture on her Instagram page, showing herself with her long locks completely covering her face, held in place with a pair of shades.

Along with the silly snap, she wrote: 'Going to a fashion show. Do you think it's too much?'

She then showed a shot of her actual outfit and super-chic hair as she explained: 'And that turned into this! Walking in London feeling very "Piccadilly circus" which is where I was heading, wearing all @flowerbeauty make up by @fredrikszrobin hair by @sheridanwardhair.'

Silly! Earlier in the day, Drew joked about her look for the party, asking if this was 'too much'

Georgia was thrilled to have met the actress, too, as she shared a photo of the two of them cosying up together, writing: 'So nice to meet the amazing and beautiful @drewbarrymore at the @sunglasshut #LFW event today!'

They were joined on the day by members of the style set, including Laura Whitmore, Immy Waterhouse, Brix Smith-Start and Jameela Jamil.

Meanwhile, Drew has been busy on the promotional trail for her brand new comedy flick Miss You Already, in which she stars alongside Toni Collette.

The movie sees Drew and Toni portray childhood friends, who remain attached at the hip well into their adult years.

However, Toni's free-spirited character Milly is abruptly faced with a cancer diagnosis, while Drew's character Jess finally finds herself pregnant after various attempts.

Speaking about why she was keen to take on the role of Jess, Drew admitted during an interview on Lorraine it was purely down to the fact she would be working alongside Toni.

She said: 'I came here to London to be with you. I love you and believe in you and I wanted you to know that I literally have your back with this.'

Despite the emotional plot, Toni maintained the film's underlying message is a positive one.

'It's not a Debbie Downer, it's a celebration of life,' she said.

On working with Toni, Drew added: 'We really are just having the best time.'

Directed by Catherine Hardwicke and written by Morwenna Banks, the comedy drama hits UK cinemas on September 25.
