He's known for playing the most valiant and dependable of Marvel's iconic superheroes, Captain America.

So it's no surprise that Chris Evans is good with children, which he showed on Friday while on set for his upcoming drama Gifted.

The 34-year-old looked adorable as he sported a smile while carrying nine-year-old co-star Mckenna Grace on his shoulders while filming in Tybee Island, Georgia.

Chris wore a short-sleeved blue button down, which was coupled with a pair of loose-fitting blue jeans.

He finished off the laid-back look with a pair of brown boots, as he was spotted on the beach with his young co-star.

The Avengers star hid his eyes behind a pair of gold-rimmed sunglasses, and looked to be in good spirits while filming on Friday.

His co-star Mckenna wore a soft, yellow tank top, which was coupled with a pair of black shorts, as the actress went barefoot for the scenes.

Her short, blonde hair was styled in beachy waves as she could be seen smiling while reaching for Chris's hands while her onscreen uncle carried her on his shoulders.

The doting co-star doesn't have any children of his own, though previously expressed his desire to settle down and start a family to E! News.

'You get to a point where you want the next thing,' Chris shared of having kids, after gushing about babysitting co-star and pal Chris Hemsworth's children.

'You see people who are just so happy and have great kids,' he continued, adding: 'It's one of those things you're looking forward to doing. You can't rush it, but that's definitely where I'm looking.'

Chris stars alongside Jenny Slate and Octavia Spencer in the upcoming Marc Webb-directed drama - due out in 2016 - which follows a man as he tries to raise the brilliant young daughter of his dead sister, while battling his mother over custody.

The actor is also set to appear in the highly anticipated Captain America: Civil War, which is due in theaters May 2016.
