It has not been the easiest of times since she announced her marriage split from journeyman tennis pro Ryan Sweeting.

But Kaley Cuoco thanked her fans for helping her get through the heartbreak in an emotional social media post on Wednesday.

The Big Bang Theory favourite said their words of encouragement had 'touched me deeply' and posted an adorable Winnie The Pooh picture which featured an uplifting quote.

In her Instagram post she said: 'I'm feeling completely overwhelmed with the outpouring of kindness and support from the people that surround me and from those I have never even met. 

I want you to know, I read all your comments and your sweet words have touched me deeply. 

'I'm incredibly grateful for all your love as I start this next chapter in my life.'

In addition to her words, she had uploaded a cute pic of Pooh Bear and his close friend Piglet, which featured a classic quote from the A. A. Milne stories that further expressed her feelings to her fans.

It said: 'Piglet noticed that even though he had a very small heart, it could hold a rather large amount of gratitude.' 

Earlier this week it emerged she has been hit by a demand for spousal support by her estranged husband Ryan Sweeting.

The move comes after the starlet, who is worth an estimated $45 million, filed to divorce the journeyman tennis player last month.

In a statement released at the time, the couple said: 'Kaley Cuoco and Ryan Sweeting have mutually decided to end their marriage.

It has been claimed she decided to leave the athlete after he became addicted to painkillers prescribed to him after back surgery.

Kaley married the 28-year-old Ryan, who once ranked as high as a moderately impressive number 64 in the world, on New Year's Eve 2013.

She had a pre-nuptial agreement drawn up before she married the journeyman athlete.
