'If he doesn’t follow, f*** him': Kim Zolciak makes it clear daughter Brielle's boyfriend will not hold her back on Don't Be Tardy

Kim Zolciak’s teenage daughter Brielle has admitted that she has split from long-term boyfriend Slade Osborne.

Now fans of her family’s reality TV show Don’t Be Tardy have seen how it may well have been her mother who sparked the end of her young love.

Kim, 37, has been seen desperately pushing for 18-year-old Brielle to move to L.A. to follow her dream of working for E! News, setting up meetings with her contacts there.

But in the latest edition the reality TV star was seen putting her foot down and refusing to allow Slade to move to California along with her daughter.

She accepted that it would almost certainly kill their young love - but insisted it was for the best, calling them ‘just kids, they’re like babies still.’

‘I like Slade a lot, I think he’s a really great guy,’ Kim said, in scenes filmed months before Slade and Brielle split-up just two weeks ago.

Hard truth: ‘If Brielle goes to LA and he doesn’t want to wait for her or they can’t work it out - then it is what it is,’ said Kim.

‘But I think Brielle needs to do what Brielle wants to do and not base anything on a man. I want Brielle to be independent like I was. Don’t let a man stop you from your dreams.'

Given that she refused to allow Slade to follow her daughter to LA to live with her, Kim sent a slightly confusing message by saying that her daughter needed to ‘go chase her dream, and the man will follow.’

But she made it very clear where her priorities were, adding: ‘If he doesn’t follow, f**k him.’

Slade’s mother Toni, who had invited Kim and her family to her holiday home on the edge of Lake Keowee in South Carolina, agreed that there was no way her son would be moving.

She insisted that her husband - who was in China during the trip and was described as ’a super successful businessman’ by Kim - would insist he finish college and then move on to take over running his business that is based in Georgia.

Sipping drinks with Kim, Toni was clearly on the same page about the future of their offsprings’ young love.

‘That long distance relationship would either make ‘em or break ‘em and that would pave their way for whatever’s going to happen in their lives,’ Toni said.

Kim and her husband, pro football player Kroy Biermann, were stunned when their daughter and her boyfriend first even asked if they could move in together.

‘Well you’re definitely not gonna go to LA together on my dime,’ Kim insisted. ‘Until you have a ring on your finger I’m going to take care of you.'

‘I’m not gonna let you guys play house - he’s not gonna get the milk for free.’

After a humorous interlude where Brielle thought the saying was referring ‘to my boobs’, Kroy then added of their move-in plans ‘A big fat no.’

‘Oh to be young and dumb,’ Kim sighed at Kroy as the youngsters left the room.

When they chatted further during their trip, Brielle insisted that it would be the death of the relationship, saying: ‘Well me and Slade already know that if I go to LA and he stays here it’s not going to last.'

‘When we’re not together for like a day or two we fight. It just doesn’t work.’

And while Kim later said it would be ‘really upsetting’ to see them split, she still felt it was more important for ‘Brielle to go chase her dream.’

Whether it was the cause of the split or not, the recent episode certainly predicted the end, with Brielle this week telling E! News: ‘We broke up two weeks ago. Even though you will see us as a couple for the rest of the season on Don't Be Tardy, we are no longer together.’

She added: ‘He's not the man I thought he was and, as a result, my entire family and myself are disappointed.’

This week’s episode of Tardy also saw Kim’s chef Tracey Bloom, who had just ended a 10-year-relationship, come along on the weekend away - and shamelessly hit on Slade’s mom.

As they did Fireball shots together, Tracey insisted she ‘definitely feels a connection’, adding: ‘I think she’s into me. And I’m really into Toni.’

‘I wish she was a little younger, a little less married and with no kids,’ she added, before trying to woo the older woman by giving her a psychic reading.

But she was shut-down when she suggested that Toni had had lesbian relationships in the past, with Slade’s mom bluntly insisting: ‘No.’
