UFC superstar Ronda Rousey has confirmed rumours that she and men's heavyweight Travis Browne are an item.

The undefeated bantamweight - who is notoriously private about her personal life - backed up what Browne had made public earlier on Monday. 

'I don't talk about my personal life much. That's why it's called 'personal life,'" Rousey told ESPN in a statement.

'It's true that Travis and I are in a relationship. I've really enjoyed the time we have spent together and getting to know one another. And that's all I'm going to say about it.'

Browne's comments were part of his first interview since being accused of domestic abuse by his ex-wife, Jenna Renee Webb (pictured below).

The 6ft 7in Hawaian, who was temporarily suspended by the UFC in the summer following these allegations, was speaking on MMA Fighting's The MMA Hour on Monday.

Browne, who was cleared by the organisation after an investigation, said that he and the ESPY award winner had gotten together over the summer – saying 'she's my woman and I am her man'.

The pair have been training together at Glendale Fighting Club in California for the last year.

The 33-year-old is the second UFC heavyweight Rousey is known to have dated, with Brendan Schaub – who Browne knocked out when the two fought less than a year ago – an ex-boyfriend of the UFC women's bantamweight champion.

The revelation came on the same day that Rousey appeared on popular American TV show Live with Kelly and Michael and showcased some of her championship-winning techniques.

The movie star, who has been announced as the lead character in a remake of Patrick Swayze classic Road House, revealed where her famous 'game face' comes from.

'My godfather would say to me, "if you want to look mean you need to look down and try to look through your eyebrows," and he would practice with me,' Rousey told Kelly and Michael.

'I think about what I'm about to do and It just comes through in my face.' 

Rousey next enters the octagon on November 14 in Melbourne, Australia, where she will face former boxing champion Holly Holm.

The fight will be the seventh defence of her bantamweight title and is expected to break the attendance record for a UFC event, with as many as 70,000 spectators thought to be attending the bout.
