Liverpool striker Roberto Firmino all loved up with wife Larissa Pereira... so will new boss Jurgen Klopp take a fancy to him?

Liverpool striker Roberto Firmino might have fallen out of favour under former manager Brendan Rodgers, but the 24-year-old is clearly number one in his wife's books.

Larissa Pereira shared a picture of the pair kissing during a night out on her Instagram account.

With Rodgers now having left the club and new boss Jurgen Klopp installed, Firmino will no doubt be wanting to transfer his happy lifestyle off the pitch to performances on it and seal a regular starting spot at Anfield.

Firmino and Pereira met each other at a nightclub in 2013 and also have a baby daughter together, who was born last year.

Firmino signed for Liverpool in the summer for a reported £29million fee from Bundesliga side Hoffenheim, but so far the Brazil international has struggled to find his feet in English football.

He is yet to register a goal or an assist in seven appearances in all competitions and suffered a back injury in the first-half of September's League Cup victory over Carlisle.

However, Firmino has made a swift recovery and is expected to be named in the squad for Klopp's first game in charge of the Reds against Tottenham on Saturday.

Former Borussia Dortmund manager Klopp replaced Rodgers at Liverpool and is tasked with lifting the Merseysiders up the Premier League table.

Liverpool are currently 10th with 12 points, but after significant investment in the transfer market are targeting a finish in the top four.

Klopp has promised to bring an attacking brand of football with him to Liverpool and said at his press conference last week: 'My teams must play at full throttle and take it to the limit every single game.'

Klopp managed Dortmund to successive German league titles in 2010-11 and 2011-12 as well as overseeing a run to the Champions League final in 2013.
