Kelly Black (left), 42, was found dead in the street near a gas station in Jacksonville, Floriday, at approximately 6.15am. Black was walking her dog Paco (right) when she was struck, and the pet remained in the road for hours after his owner's body had been removed. Paco, who was left uninjured, stayed in the street until Black's family arrived. Police suspect that the driver may have not known he or she had struck the victim. The driver's identity is unknown and there were no witnesses.

The video, filmed at an unknown Brazil location, shows an unlocked bike having been left by a tree, ready for the taking by a would-be thief. However, what the sticky-fingered young men in the video are unaware of is that the bike has been tied to the tree. As they cycle off on the bike, it does not take long before the rope - tied to the back wheel of the bike - stops them in their tracks. The thieves are sent flying over the handrails, falling hard on their faces on the ground. The pranksters, calling themselves Os Primitivos (The Primitives), then emerge from hiding to chase down the bike thieves, who both appear to escape justice.

Sydney couple Di and Carey Edwards have dedicated almost a decade of their lives to re-homing almost 10,000 dogs a year through Australian Working Dog Rescue, which was founded by them in 2007. Four emus that managed to escaped their backyard home and go for a run in a Round Rock, Texas, neighborhood were contained Friday, police there said. Police were notified of the animal escape in the Forest Creek neighborhood at about 2 p.m. Thursday. On Friday, the Round Rock Police Department posted a video of the birds and tweeted: 'Good news! The #emus have been safely contained and are on their way home with the owner.' The owner of the birds, Lori Kessler, says she didn't know how Emmitt, Huey, Dewey and Louie escaped her fenced-in backyard, but did note the gate to the backyard was open when she got home from work. Local media reported the emus were herded into a yard by Williamson County livestock deputies.
