Selcuk Inan struck a 19th minute penalty, given after Andre Almedia's handball in the area, before Podolski raced onto a through ball down the right hand side of the pitch, taking it into the penalty area before poking into the far bottom corner with the outside of his right boot.

A first-half goal from captain Markus Rosenberg gave Malmo a 1-0 win over Shakhtar Donetsk on Wednesday and their first points in Group A.
Rosenberg collected a pass from Pa Konate and fired home in the 17th minute for Malmo's first goal of the group stage, following two consecutive 2-0 defeats to Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid.
The Swedish side move into third, four points behind the giants of the group PSG and Real, who drew 0-0 at the Parc des Princes.
