Oprah Winfrey and her best friend Gayle King are both shedding pounds on Weight Watchers, but the 60-year-old media mogul is getting better results.

On Monday, the OWN CEO used a fraction of her $3 billion fortune to purchase $45M shares (10 percent) of the diet company.

Oprah's business move caused the stock to spike 105 percent and double her investment to $88.6M - according to the Hollywood Reporter.

'Since August 12, I have lost 15 pounds!' the television titan proudly announced on Friday's Ellen DeGeneres Show.

'But I am excited about Weight Watchers being able to bring a healthier more holistic approach for everybody.'

Winfrey has always been a self-proclaimed 'food addict' and yo-yo dieter, but in 2009 she wrote in O Magazine: 'My goal isn't to be thin. My goal is for my body to be the weight it can hold — to be strong and healthy and fit, to be itself. My goal is to learn to embrace this body and to be grateful every day for what it has given me.'

'I had literally starved myself for four months – not a morsel of food,' Oprah - whose top weight was 237 pounds - admitted to People in 2005.

'Two hours after that show, I started eating to celebrate. Of course, within two days those jeans no longer fit!'
