John Travolta and David Schwimmer huddle with the rest of O.J. Simpson's defense team on the set of American Crime Story

John Travolta addressed his O.J. Simpson defense team in character as Robert Shapiro on the Los Angeles set of American Crime Story last week.

'Robert wrote me a beautiful letter that he was very proud that I was playing him. That felt really good,' Travolta - whose father Salvatore was 'obsessed with the trial' - told WFLA's Daytime last week.

'I think you'll be alarmed at what's revealed. I mean, honestly, its astonishing. It's startling. And it's all conversations and virtual pieces of information that have never been revealed to the public.

'So you're going to actually see something that's going to give you a much clearer picture of everybody's agenda, and the results, and why things turned out to be what they were.'

Friends alum David Schwimmer looked somber suited up as attorney Robert Kardashian - the late father of Kourtney, Kim, Khloé, and Rob.

Unlike Simpson's nine other lawyers, Robert was actually his close friend and the pair vacationed together with their families for years.

The Emmy nominee - who turns 49 next month - definitely captured Kardashian's inner-conflicted nature and silver-streaked hair.
