The two English hopefuls are sitting pretty at the top of the leaderboard in Hong Kong and we could have a tasty battle on our hands this weekend. Rose, leading on nine-under, admits he is wary of Ryder Cup team-mate Poulter, who also hit a 66 in the second round. Lucas Bjerregaard and Lu Wei-Chih are also in the mix.

Pakistan vs England - Day 3, second Test

Another morning treat as England aim to turn up the heat in Dubai after the first Test ended in a draw. Alastair Cook is hoping to lead his side to another series win after the Ashes triumph, and his bowlers have impressed so far in this second Test despite the slow pitch.

This 'Battle of the Burns' has a long history, and the hosts will be determined to put their own struggles behind them and deny their high-flying rivals. No early Premier League kick-off? No problem.

South Africa v New Zealand – Rugby World Cup semi-final

New Zealand take on South Africa in the first Rugby World Cup semi-final at Twickenham. The All Blacks were rampant in the last round, destroying France with the performance of the tournament, while South Africa scraped past Wales. The Springboks will be boosted by the fitness of influential lock, Lood de Jager, but they will they have their work cut out to stop this breathtaking New Zealand side.

Arsenal vs Everton – Barclays Premier League

The Gunners host Everton at the Emirates Stadium knowing that a win will take them to the top of the Premier League. Arsenal will be buoyed by recent victories against Manchester United and Bayern Munich ,and will be looking to maintain that momentum against an Everton side currently sitting in ninth. A good omen for the Londoners is that they have beaten the Toffees on more occasions than any team has beaten another in the history of English league football, winning 91 of their 189 previous meetings.

Lewis Hamilton is closing in on a third world title and he can claim it with three races to spare in Austin. The Briton's chances of doing just that have improved, with closest rival Sebastian Vettel being handed a 10-place grid penalty, but can he qualify fastest ahead of Mercedes team-mate Nico Rosberg?

Interim WBA middleweight champion Chris Eubank Jnr takes on American Tony Jeter at the Sheffield Arena on Saturday. The Brit comes into the fight as favourite, but will have to be on top of his game to defeat the experienced American who has won three of his last four fights by knockout. Gavin McDonnell is also on the card as he defends his EBU super-bantamweight title against Jeremy Parodi.

Hong Kong Open - Fourth round

Depending on how much you enjoy Saturday you may fancy getting up even earlier for the final round in Hong Kong. Poulter made a frantic dash to Hong Kong from Orlando - via New York - to start here and he will be determined to break back into the world's top 50.

Pakistan vs England - Day 4, second Test

Morning session starts 7am
In the fourth day of the second Test against Pakistan, England will be looking to go one better here. But with Pakistan captain, Misbah-ul-Haq looking in great form, England’s bowlers will have to be at the top of their game if they are going to be victorious in Dubai.

Sunday’s fixture also sees a derby debut for Steve McClaren who takes his Newcastle side to the Stadium of Light looking to prevent a sixth successive Sunderland win over the Magpies. Newcastle come into the game in good form having put six past Norwich last week, whilst the Mackems tasted defeat away at West Brom.

In another installment of English-based NFL action, the Buffalo Bills face the Jacksonville Jaguars at Wembley. Despite being injury hit, the Bills come into the game as huge favourites, and a win here will certainly kickstart their play-off push. On the other hand, the Jaguars will want to win to erase the memory of last season’s Wembley defeat by the Dallas Cowboys.

The Red Devils take on their 'noisy neighbours' in the first Manchester derby of the season. Both clubs spent big in the summer in order to topple last season’s Champions, Chelsea, and have displayed decent form coming into the game. Of course, the title will not be decided on Sunday, but defeat for either side will be a bitter blow, especially against their local rivals. Argentina v Australia – Rugby World Cup semi-final

Can Argentina really reach their first World Cup final? They obliterated Ireland in the quarter-final and will be full of confidence going into this match at Twickenham with Australia. The Wallabies are lucky to be here, following their narrow victory against Scotland, but everyone (especially England fans) knows how much quality they possess on their day.

Liverpool game not doing much for you at half-time? Switch over to Sky Sports 5 for some Spanish action. Barcelona and Neymar smashed Rayo Vallecano for five last week but Luis Enrique insists his side still haven't hit top form. They're third in La Liga and face Eibar at the Nou Camp on Sunday, with the visitors impressing this season in seventh.

United States Grand Prix - Race
