Dozens of punters started queuing outside the Old Trafford Megastore on Thursday morning - for a pair of Manchester United-inspired trainers that do not go on sale until Friday.
Around 30 eager customers turned up from 10am, nearly 24 hours ahead of the release of the latest batch of the limited edition adidas Stretford shoe.
Staff at the club, who anticipated the demand, set up barriers and security will be at the site overnight.

The £75 trainer, which has been mocked in some quarters as the trademark three stripes are Manchester City blue, has proved to be incredibly popular.
Adidas made 1,200 pairs and people have camped through the night at various locations over a staggered release.

Adidas say the stripes are blue in honour of the 1968 European Cup winning team, who wore an all-blue strip for their victory over Benfica at Wembley.

A source said: 'It's absolutely daft. It hadn't even been announced and people started turning up. They're wrapped up well and some have chairs although I haven't seen any tents yet.'
The clamour may well be good news for a former United star.
Lou Macari owns a chippy around the corner from the stadium and the source added: 'Loads of them have gone to the chippy and come back with food for everyone.'
The trainers will go on sale at 8.30am on Friday.
