She claims to be able to control the passing of time with her mind.

But even ‘scientist’ Willow Smith, 14, knows that when it comes to the fame game, there is nobody better than Kris Jenner, 59.

And the teen star - who is the daughter of actors Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith - looked to be soaking up the Kardashian momager’s advice as the two bonded at Olivier Rousteing's 30th birthday party in Los Angeles on Friday.

The two were pictured in the midst of a deep conversation, sitting on a silver-sequined sofa.

Kris' words of wisdom were just rolling off her tongue, while Willow listened attentively.

The exchange appeared intimate, with the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star leaning over in her chic all-black ensemble, as the Whip My Hair crooner - clad in a tangerine frock - cosied up to pay close attention.

Last night's Balmain bash looks like our kind of party.

There were supermodels everywhere and of course the birthday boy, Creative Director Olivier Rousteing was there making sure everyone looked their best. The Kardashian/Jenner gang were there, but they were almost upstaged in the glamour stakes by another famous family...

Jada Pinkett Smith showed up with son Jaden and daughter Willow and what a stylish little trio they made. Willow was wearing an orange version of the dress Alessandra Ambrosio modelled at the event, but check out Jada's look!

In an interview with the New York Times' T magazine last year, Willow claimed that time is a concept she can control with her mind.

'I mean, time for me, I can make it go slow or fast, however I please,' she said. 'That’s how I know it doesn't exist.'

The home-schooled star also insisted she's keen on 'caring less what everybody else thinks.'

Yet, Willow recently signed with Kendall Jenner’s modelling agency The Society Management, a bold move for someone not seeking attention.

Meanwhile, Willow's mother Jada Pinkett Smith and brother Jaden Smith were also spotted at the birthday bash.

And Kris seemed to be making the rounds with the Smith clan, also cuddling up to Jada.

Sibling similarities: Willow and Jaden are both home-schooled and known for their quirkiness

The Kardashians and Smiths have long been family friends, with Jaden previously rumoured to be dating Kylie Jenner - who is now dating rapper Tyga.

Friday's festivities were to celebrate French fashion designer Olivier Rousteing, the man behind the new Balmain X H&M collection.

Kendall is one of the beautiful faces of the brand which launched earlier this week.

Other celebrities out on the night included Cara Delevingne, Kate Hudson, Jennifer Lopez and Casper Smart, Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel, and Alessandra Ambrosio.
