Pregnant Chrissy Teigen opts for comfort as she covers her growing bump with chic oversized cardigan while out for lunch

She's been incredibly excited since revealing she is pregnant with her first child with husband John Legend.

But Chrissy Teigen opted for a more low-key look than normal as she went for lunch at The Ivy restaurant in Los Angeles on Friday.

The 29-year-old model beauty hid her growing bump under a super-chic and cosy knitted ensemble while stepping inside.

Grab an embellished sandal like Chrissy

Chrissy Teigen seems to have it all. Killer looks, a lovely husband and bulldog parties... and, of course, a baby on the way. But as she headed to the Ivy for lunch on Saturday, we found something else to envy: her sandals.

Like any girl worth her salt, Chrissy seems to have a shoe obsession and we love her for it. Here, with an oversized poncho, she's wearing Giuseppe Zanotti's flat sandals with a dramatic gold accent winding up the foot.

Giuseppe Zanotti never disappoints and, over the summer, the high-heel version of Chrissy's were uber popular. Chrissy's black flat versions are sold out, but you can still nab a pair in brown, albeit limited sizes. Click right to buy them at Yoox.

Or, if you'd rather have a look around, check out the embellished black flat sandals we found, ranging from a bargain at Asos to a splurge at Neiman Marcus.

The Sports Illustrated beauty swathed her slim, willowy frame in the kaftan-style cardigan, constructed from a soft black and white printed fabric and an asymmetric hem, allowing her to flash her slim legs underneath.

Despite the winter warmer on top, Chrissy kept her bare and rocked a pair of black and gold flat sandals for comfort.

The beauty's long brunette locks were scraped up into a fuss-free and slightly messy top knot while covering her make-up free face with large rounded shades.

Not a glimpse of her burgeoning baby bump was on show thanks to the heavy layer of material draped over the model's body.

Chrissy and John, 36, happily announced their pregnancy news just under two weeks ago in a seriously sweet Instagram post.

After having previously revealed a struggle to fall pregnant, the smitten pair - who have been married since 2013 and trying to conceive for a while - were overjoyed to share the news.

Showing off a tiny bump in a black and white shot, with Chrissy laying down next to her spouse - his hand tenderly on her tum - she wrote: 'John and I are so happy to announce that we are pregnant :).'

'As many of you know, we've been trying to have a baby for a while now.

'It hasn't been easy, but we kept trying because we can't wait to bring our first child into the world and grow our family.

She continued: 'We're so excited that it's finally happening. Thank you for all your love and well wishes. I look forward to all the belly touching! Xx'

The couple's news came just a month after the model revealed in an episode of her new show, FABLife, that the couple had been trying for years to have a child so had turned to fertility doctors for help.

She told co-host Tyra Banks on September 17: 'I will say honestly John and I were having trouble. We would have had kids five, six years ago if it happened.

'But my gosh it's been a process. We've seen fertility doctors and once you open up about those things to other people you learn that a lot of other people in your life are seeing these people and they have this shame about it.'

The beauty said it was painful when people questioned her about when she and John are going to start a family.

'It's kind of crazy because I can't imagine being that nosy to be like, ''So, when are the kids coming?'' because who knows what somebody's going through,' she said.
