Legs for days! Lupita Nyong'o shows off her toned limbs in a thigh-skimming purple knit dress ahead of play matinee in NYC

Lupita Nyong'o flashed her toned legs as she arrived to the Public Theater for her matinee performance of her play, Eclipsed, in New York City.

The 32-year-old wore an extremely short purple turtleneck dress that left little to the imagination during her Sunday outing.

The actress bundled up in a fuzzy powder blue coat with silver hardware that was several inches longer than her knitted frock.

The fashion forward star loves wearing hats, opting for a purple wide brimmed hat with a cream ribbon.

She clutched a large camel toned handbag, strutting down the Big Apple streets in purple heeled oxfords that emphasized her long legs. 

Lupita, who couldn't hide her flawless makeup free face beneath her hat and sunglasses, added silver earrings to complete her look.

The Academy Award winner plays The Girl in Eclipsed, the youngest sex slave being held by a rebel commander during the war.

The play, written by The Walking Dead's Danai Gurira, is about five women during the Second Liberian Civil War.

The star who gave a small smile for the cameras, has a lot to be happy about.

The 12 Years A Slave actress posted a photo of the Eclipsed ad from Sunday's New York Times to her Instagram, captioning it with big news: 'In the @nytimes today. #EclipsedPlay moving to Broadway in 2016!! Yippee #EclipsedBway.'

The play, directed by Liesl Tommy, began it's two-month run at Public Theater on October 14.

The Kenya-raised star wrapped three films before her on-stage role: Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens playing Maz Kanata;  Queen of Katwe; and The Jungle Book, voicing the character, Raksha.
