She's known for her luscious chocolate locks and signature dimples.

But Miranda Kerr was totally transformed on Saturday evening as she dressed up as Marilyn Monroe for a Halloween bash in the US.

The 32-year-old donned a curly peroxide wig and a version of the iconic white dress the famous blonde bombshell wore in The Seven Year Itch.

With red lipstick applied to her pout, heavily filled-in brows and long false lashes, the mother-of-one looked fabulous as the screen siren. 

Miranda's look was completed with an array of accessories, including a pair of large diamond stud earrings and a couple of sparkly bangles. 

The former Victoria's Secret Angel posted the first shot of herself dressed as Marilyn on Sunday evening, showing she and a friend making their way to the party in a car. She simply captioned the shot: 'About last night...'

Several minutes later she posted another image of her and two friends cuddling up on a couch together.

The final photo from the night was a bathroom selfie taken with her iPhone. 

In the past two weeks Miranda has been busy on social media.

On Friday, the Australian fashion star showed off her taut figure and decolletage to promote new photo stitching app, Boomerang, in two new videos posted to her Instagram page. 

Miranda put the new technology to work in one sequence that saw her pouting her lips into a kiss while wearing a plunging push-up bra.

Her supermodel frame was well and truly on display, showing she's still one of the queens of the fashion world.

Miranda was a Victoria's Secret model until 2013 and now she is the third highest paid model in the world.

She recently took out the sixth place on Forbes' sixth highest paid supermodel list this year, earning a whopping $5.5 million over the past 12 months.

Meanwhile, she is also enjoying a romance with billionaire Snapchat founder Evan Spiegel, who was hailed as the youngest in the world by Forbes financial magazine. 

Miranda raises her four-year-old son, Flynn, with her ex-husband Orlando Bloom.
