Rita Ora stands out in bizarre floral mini and matching boots on X Factor... as she overshadows Cheryl Fernandez-Versini's red jumpsuit

She's always been known for her flamboyant taste in clothes.

However, Rita Ora managed to excel herself when it came to making a statement with her latest ensemble.

Appearing on Sunday's live episode of The X Factor Judges' Houses, the singer ended up overshadowing fellow judge Cheryl Fernandez-Versini's quirky outfit.

The 24-year-old set Twitter ablaze with her fashion choice as she walked on stage in a pink floral mini skirt with matching thigh-high boots.

She completed her girlie ensemble with a black and pink blouse, with her blonde hair styled in a half up, half down do.

Although Cheryl had also gone for a bold choice, her outfit looked relatively dull in comparison to Rita's eccentric ensemble.

Make a statement in bold prints this season

The X-Factor may be a singing competition but for those of us with a slight obsession with clothes, it's all about the fashion face off between Cheryl Fernandez-Versini and whoever the other female judge is. This year that's Rita Ora of course.

But Cheryl usually wins out wearing designs by labels like Emilia Wickstead, Alida Herbst, Missoni, 3.1 Phillip Lim, Jonathan Simkhai and Balmain. And tonight is no exception. The Geordie lass, styled by Anna Hughes-Chamberlain, looked ravishing in this bold red look by Gabriela Cadena.

This up and coming brand has already dressed stars like Blake Lively, Eva Longoria and Hailey Baldwin so you know it's a name to watch. Cheryl's matching blouse and trousers are from Cadena's AW15 collection and you can shop the rest of the line by clicking (right) now.

Or recreate Cheryl's abstract print look with one of the blouses in our edit below.

The former Girls Aloud singer wore a black and red patterned skintight jumpsuit, which she teamed with a pair of gold high-heeled sandals.

One viewer Denise King tweeted: 'Rita Ora. Seriously. That outfit?!'

Another Natalie Dobbie was rather stronger in her contempt: 'Rita Ora what the f**k have you got on your feet?! #stinking.'

Hannah Done tweeted: 'Not being funny but what the holy J Christ does Rita Ora have on? She looks like she's just flown out of pixie hollow #XFactor.'
