New dad Jeff Goldblum, 63, takes first trip to pumpkin patch with baby son Charlie and wife Emilie Livingston, 32

Jeff Goldblum, wife Emilie Livingston and their baby boy Charlie enjoyed a trip to the pumpkin patch on Sunday and couldn't wait to share the news with their social media followers.

Emilie, 32, shared a photo via Twitter showing herself holding onto the couple's four month old son who's perched on top of a pile of pumpkins.

Actor Jeff, 63, leans in for a cuddle during what his wife says is the first pumpkin patch trip for all of them.

The former Olympic gymnast who is half her husband's age delivered Charlie on Independence Day, ironically the title of one of Jeff's most beloved movies.

Last Thursday, Jeff's birthday, the new mom posted a gushing message of love to the Hollywood star whom she wed in 2014 after a brief courtship.

'Happy birthday to my hunky, handsome, dashing husband!!! My true love, my soulmate, i am eternally yours,' the athlete and aerialist wrote.

In August, Jeff who'd previously been married to actress and The Fly co-star Geena Davis and before that to his Silverado co-star, actress Patricia Gaul, told Conan O'Brien he was very happy. 

The actor and jazz musician praised his 'dear, dear wife,' telling the talk show host: 'She's so wonderful.'

And he added his son is 'so good and sweet. I enjoy him. I love him to bits. I nuzzle him. I smell him. I kiss him. I talk to him. I make jokes with him. I sing to him.'

Jeff recently spent time in New Mexico where he was filming Independence Day: Resurgence.

The actor re-teamed with Roland Emmerich, the director of the blockbuster 1996 film, for the sequel along with original cast members Bill Pullman, Vivica A. Fox, Judd Hirsch and Brent Spiner.

He;'s joined in the movie by Liam Hemsworth who plays a fighter pilot pivotal in saving the world once again from alien attack.

Will Smith, who had a similar role in the original, decided not to return for the sequel.

Independence Day: Resurgence is scheduled for a 2015 summer release.
