My little Italian Stallion! Fearless Sylvester Stallone ventures out in PINK shirt then poses for selfie with excited fans

His most famous creation Rocky Balboa was known in boxing circles as the Italian Stallion.

But Sylvester Stallone went with a hue more suited to My Little Pony when he ventured out in Beverly Hills in a pink shirt on Sunday.

The macho actor certainly did not seem to regret his choice of colour as he wandered around the well-heeled area of Los Angeles County with his brother Frank and some friends.

Indeed he was even stopped by some excited young ladies who insisted on having a selfie taken with him.

The fact he was wearing an uncharacteristically feminine ensemble of pink shirt, matching hued socks and smart trousers may have made the moment all the more surreal for his lucky fans.

Hopefully Sylvester does adopt a similar look when he tries to train his latest protege the forthcoming Rocky spin-off Creed, as it is sure to undermine his pugilistic credibility to his pupil.

The Ryan Coogler directed film stars Micheal B. Jordan as Adonis Creed, son of the legendary Apollo, who famously lost against all the odds to the Philadelphia slugger in Rocky II.

The trailer shows Sly imparting life lessons to the young fighter through boxing techniques, a signature theme of all the Rocky films.

Michael had nothing but praise for his co-star when he talked about the film back in May, saying: 'He started to show me how to shadow box right there in his office.

'He hit me a body blow and I was like, "Damn, he still got some bite!" he was a great collaborator.

The Fantastic Four star added: 'We were constantly working together to make scenes better. He's got a crazy work ethic, crazy energy.
