And as Melissa McCarthy's bank balance grows it seems her weight is shrinking in equal proportion.

The Bridesmaids star looked a shadow of her former self as she hosted a celeb packed event for shoe designer Brian Atwood in Los Angeles on Friday night.

She was reported to have lost around 50 pounds in June but looks to have continued slimming down as she showed off her slimmer frame on the red carpet.

The 45-year-old actress chose a floaty black dress with nude heels for the Celebration of Pumped party which was also attended by Kris Jenner and Corey Gamble.

She outlined her infectious smile with a glossy scarlet lip and showed off her radiant skin in picture-perfect make-up with a peach blush and bronze eye.

Her glossy chestnut tresses were styled in sleek waves, to complete her A-List look.

The star earned $23 million in 2015, according to Forbes, beaten only by Jennifer Lawrence and Scarlett Johansson.

The Groundlings alumna has been spotted out walking over the past few months, and is noticeably less curvy than she was last August at the Emmy Awards.

She's due to star in the all-female remake of Ghostbusters, due out in 2016.

And is also shooting The Boss, which is directed by Melissa's husband Ben Falcone, who is also one of the comedy's writers.

The film, which also stars Peter Dinklage, is slated for an April 2016 release.

The couple have two daughters, Vivian, 8, and 5-year-old Georgette.
