The Great Gatsby star Elizabeth Debicki swaps her old Hollywood look for punk rock inspired style at Australians In Film gala

Elizabeth Debicki made sure she stood out at the Australians In Film Awards Benefit Dinner and Gala on Sunday night.

Receiving an honour at the event, held at the InterContinental Hotel in Los Angeles, the 25-year-old actress swapped her usual old-Hollywood glamour for an edgy punk-rock inspired look.

With her short peroxide blonde locks in a quiff at the front and slicked down along the side, The Great Gatsby actress contrasted her hair with chunky black and gold earrings.

The beauty from Melbourne wore a dress with strappy low-cut black bralet attached to a metallic maroon skirt, which fell from below the bust line to mid-calf.

However the length and positioning of the high-shine skirt appeared to diminish the 6ft 2in actress's statuesque figure, which was aided by single strap black heels.

Along with the flashy dress, the Man From U.N.C.L.E actress added an odd choice of outerwear with a long line crochet cardigan, giving the ensemble a bizzare look overall.

The Great Gatsby starlet also added dark eyeliner for a dramatic look, which stood out against her porcelain skin.

Posing on the red carpet alongside British actor Hugh Laurie, the Parisian-born Australian actress gave a hint of a smile to the camera.

But let her guard down with a big smile as she spoke to media present at the event.

The House star looked dapper in a grey suit with a checked lavender shirt and seaweed green tie.

Elizabeth was honoured at the gala with the Breakthrough Award, a gong previously won by the likes of Chris Hemsworth and Margot Robbie.
