Hilaria Baldwin activated mother-on-duty mode as she enjoyed a sweet shopping trip with her cherubic daughter Carmen in New York City on Monday.

The wife of Alec Baldwin couldn't hide her pride as she doted on the angelic two-year-old who was dressed in a pink hooded coat and grey leggings for the outing.

Hilaria, 31, was pictured planting a gentle kiss on Carmen's cheek as the pair headed to a Halloween shop for balloons.

Crouching down on the pavement in her high-heeled knee-length boots, Hilaria gazed lovingly at her eldest child who clung onto her.

The mother-of-two then bundled her into her arms and held her safely on her front as they ambled around their local neighbourhood.

The yoga enthusiast was evidently in a playful mood as she was pictured lifting the youngster in the air.

Hilaria was dressed appropriately for the occasion in a pair of printed leggings and a black jumper which featured vertical cut-out lines and a chunky polo neck.

Her choice of footwear probably wasn't the most practical but she strode around the city, carrying her daughter, with confidence.

Her hair was as sleek as always and was left to run freely with a full fringe going to some length to disguise her identity.

Hilaria seemed to be in her element as she fooled around with her only daughter before meeting up with her nanny.

Meanwhile, husband Alec was absent from the low-key family outing.

The couple started dating in August 2011 and were married less than a year later.

Carmen is the older sister of sibling Rafael whom Hilaria gave birth to in June 2015.

Hilaria recently revealed she's currently in the process of writing a book as she took to Instagram on Monday evening with a photo of her in writing mode.
