Joy Behar finally gets a smooch from Sanders on The View and Raven-Symoné gets him mixed up with his Larry David SNL alter ego

  •  Bernie Sanders made his 2016 debut on the talk show The View
  •  The View's Raven-Symoné mentioned Sanders' Saturday Night Live appearance - only THAT was Larry David
  •  Sanders gave a smooch to Joy Behar who said she 'feels the Bern'

How good was Larry David's impression of Bernie Sanders on Saturday Night Live?

So accurate that The View's Raven-Symoné complimented Sanders for it when he appeared on the talk show this morning to talk presidential politics – and meet with a superfan, The View's own Joy Behar.

'Why do you think my generation is coming out and supporting you so much?' Raven-Symoné mused. 'Because, you've been on SNL, you've done everything and you have this Obama-like quality to you,' she continued, before the other panelists reminded her that it was David playing Sanders on SNL, not Sanders making an appearance as himself.

'You're right, you're right,' she said, after being corrected.

That exchange brought on a pivotal question during Sanders' first interview on the talk show, which has already seen appearances from Republicans Ben Carson, John Kasich, Lindsey Graham, Rick Santorum and Democrat Martin O'Malley.

Republican Donald Trump has also called in.

'A lot of people are claiming on the internet that they've never seen you and him together in the same room at the same time, so I was wondering if you could clear the air for us – are you Larry David?' panelist Michelle Collins asked. 'Are you him?'

Sanders got solemn as the ladies laughed.

'Really, I have to tell? You realize this will destroy my entire campaign,' Sanders said with a smirk. 'It's true, I am. You've got to be honest about these things.'

Behar was honest about other things.

She has made it known during past episodes that she has 'arousal feelings for Bernie.'

In the past, Joy Behar has joked about her 'arousal feelings for Bernie' and today she got a smooch from the presidential candidate

And joked about it to his wife, Jane Sanders, who was sitting in the studio audience.

'I have to tell you Jane, Bernie and I have a thing,' Behar said.

'Do you really have to say this on national ...,' the candidate interrupted.

'He kissed me backstage,' Behar said, as a picture appeared onscreen of Sanders giving Behar a smooch on the head.

'Just sayin' Jane,' Behar said, as the two women laughed. 'I'm feeling the Bern right now.'

Sanders also chimed in on a discussion the women of the View were having before he got onstage.

Earlier in the show, Whoopi Goldberg and the others talked about Ben Carson's latest comments on abortion.

On Sunday's Meet the Press, Carson said he would 'love' for Roe v. Wade, the landmark 1973 decision that legalized abortion across the land, to be overturned.

The candidate also compared a relationship between a slave owner and a slave, to a mother and an unborn fetus.

'During slavery, a lot of the slave owners thought that they had the right to do whatever they wanted to the slave,' Carson said. 'Anything that they chose to do. And you know, what if an abolitionist had said, you know, "I don't believe in slavery. I think it's wrong. But you guys do whatever you want to do?" Where would we be?'

Sanders pointed to the Carson statement as further evidence that the Republican party has moved very far to the right.

'He's on the fringe I think,' Behar said.

'I'm afraid not, I wish I could tell you that, you haven't been around Congress too much.'

'These are guys who basically believe  – this is their agenda more or less. Huge tax breaks for the wealthiest people in this country, cuts to Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, federal aid to education, virtually all of them are against a woman's right to choose, very few of them support gay rights, the rights of gay people to marry,' Sanders said. 'That is their agenda.'

Sanders used the opportunity to use 'their family values' with his.

'You know what my family values are? Sanders said. 'Is if you are a mom and you have a baby, you have the right to stay home with paid family and medical leave for at least three months, how's that?'
