Annie Lennox's girl smiles again: Tali visits her mother in London after boyfriend's tragic death in August

Eurythmics singer Annie Lennox is helping put a smile back on her daughter Tali’s face.

Tali’s 32-year-old boyfriend, photographer Ian Jones, was killed in August in an accident when they were kayaking on the Hudson River in New York.

She was rescued, but his body was not found for two days.

Now Tali, 22, is in London, where she and her mother were seen having lunch in Holland Park before wrapping up warm for a walk.

Jones had traces of MDMA — a pure form of ecstasy — in his body at the time of the accident and was also twice over the drink-drive limit, according to the police report.

Artist Tali, who lives in Manhattan, paid tribute to Jones last week, saying online: ‘We were fused. Some might say soulmates, but you felt like my twin.’

Mum Sienna: I do struggle

Blonde bombshell Sienna Miller and actor Tom Sturridge, father of her three-year-old daughter Marlowe, broke off their engagement earlier this year and now she admits she is finding it tough to juggle work and motherhood.

‘I always feel something is compromised,’ admits the 33-year-old actress, who was previously engaged to ageing Lothario Jude Law.

‘I can’t focus on my work the way I want to, and I often can’t focus on her [Marlowe] as much as I’d like.

‘This is what it is to be a working mother. But I need a creative outlet, or I am not a happy person.

‘I do struggle with the guilt of motherhood . . . so I am trying to learn how to delegate a little better.’

As Jerry Hall, 59, is courted by 84-year-old media magnate Rupert Murdoch, her ex Sir Mick Jagger continues his deepening love affair with a 28-year-old ballerina.

The Rolling Stone, 72, began seeing dancer Melanie Hamrick, pictured left, just 11 weeks after his long-term partner, L’Wren Scott, killed herself in 2014.

This weekend the age-gap duo were spotted at The Leopard at des Artistes restaurant in New York.

‘Most of the guests had left by 10pm when they arrived,’ reports a fellow diner.

The rake-thin couple chomped their way through ‘snapper, pappardelle carbonara, risotto, ravioli and several side dishes’, leaving after midnight when the restaurant was empty.

Wouldn’t it be refreshing if the randy old goat romanced an 84-year-old for a change?

Weathergirl Carol Kirkwood is throwing herself into Strictly Come Dancing a little too enthusiastically — publicly lusting after her dashing dance partner, Pasha Kovalev, 35.

Asked how she’d spend a night out with him, Carol, 53, replies: ‘At my house! I have a huge soft spot for him — although I’m probably old enough to be his mother, and he’s not single.’

Pasha is courting Countdown’s Rachel Riley, 28, after they met as partners on Strictly in 2013.

Braless in Milano: Ruby and Phoebe at the awards

When author Roald Dahl’s Los Angeles-based daughter, Lucy, enjoyed a family reunion in Buckinghamshire last week there was one face missing from the line-up.

Her daughter Phoebe’s glamorous fiancee, Australian actress Ruby Rose, was busy filming in South Africa.

Happily, tattooed Ruby, 29, who describes herself as ‘gender-fluid’, made it up to Phoebe, 26, at the weekend by sweeping her off to Milan, where she was hosting a music awards ceremony.

The couple, who also posted a picture online of themselves in bed, appear to have been in such a hurry that they forgot to pack one vital item for the trip: their bras.

A.A. Gill said Mary Beard was too ugly for TV, but his barbs have benefited the historian.

‘I had a facial and my hair done yesterday,’ she tells me at a Mayfair party.

‘I go to Gary Ingham in Hampstead. They came to me when I was getting all this c**p.

'I don’t pay full whack, but it’s so good I’d go if I were charged twice as much.’
