With her usually flowing hair styled into a tight bun with loose sections, the 17-year-old was well and truly in the party spirit as she joked around on set in costume.

Hours later the beauty appeared on the dancefloor with her partner to perform in a red encrusted gown, sporting the same make-up.

Her white dress lent itself to a group dance later, with the youngster donning a matching grey wig for the performance.

Bindi and Derek won another perfect score for their solo routine, an Argentine tango.

Before taking to the stage Derek revealed her struggle with the show's theme, telling the camera: 'Bindi is not a scary person, not even a little bit.'

The teenager was able to overcome any obstacles to be crowned the 'queen of darkness' by judge Carrie Ann Inaba.
