Almost as scary as walking it for real! Incredible 360-degree video lets you edge along one of Europe's longest suspension bridges

  • Trift Bridge in Switzerland is perched 328ft in the air above Lake Triftsee and connects a giant glacier
  • It was originally a rope bridge when it was opened in 2004, but it has since being improved for safety
  • Because the glacier has melted over the years, certain areas became impossible to reach on a climb

This 360 degree video allows you to walk across one of the the longest pedestrian suspension bridges in Europe - without having to leave your seat.

Trift Bridge, in Switzerland, is 328ft high and 558ft long, and spans across the spectacular Trift Glacier. Visitors can reach the bridge by cable car.

Just a few years ago the Trift Hut of the Swiss Alpine Club could be reached on foot via the glacier tongue.

However, due to the melting of the glacier, the hut is now only accessible via the bridge.

'When global warming takes place the glaciers melt - some especially fast, such as the Trift Glacier,' reads the description on MySwitzerland.

'In 2004 a suspension bridge was built, as the glacier was no longer high enough to take visitors to the hut.

'The Trift Bridge, which was modeled after Nepalese three-rope bridges, turned out to be a tourist magnet and was replaced in 2009 by a safer and more accessible bridge, which is considered to be one of the longest and highest pedestrian suspension bridges in the Alps.'

The bridge spans over Lake Triftsee, near Gadmen in Switzerland.

Over 20,000 tourists are believed to walk over the bridge each year as they explore the Alpine glacier.

The walk across the glacier will offer a big challenge for anyone afraid of heights
