'Just get to the point': Ellen DeGeneres has no patience for the 'slow-talking' Adele in funny spoof of her new song Hello

Adele's emotional new single Hello immediately topped the charts after its debut on October 23.

And Ellen DeGeneres, 57, had a little fun with the song and its dramatic music video on Wednesday, by sharing a parody on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, claiming Hello had been inspired by a conversation between her and the 27-year-old.

'Adele's new single is a hit, thanks to a chat she had with Ellen,' the video's caption jokingly suggested on the show's website.

The video begins with Ellen asking her audience if they've heard the popular new single, before explaining that she and Adele are good friends, and it's actually based on a conversation they had.

She then cuts to the video, in which she can be seen picking up a chunky, old cordless phone which reads 'Adele' on the caller ID.

She happily greets the mother-of-one on the phone, as it cuts back and forth between the dramatic Hello video and clips of Ellen casually sitting on her couch as she takes the call.

Gauging their interest: The star prefaced the clip by asking if anyone had heard Adele's new song, Hello - a question met by cheers and applause

When Adele soulfully sings: 'I was wondering if after all these years you'd like to meet,' Ellen complains the connection is bad and asks: 'Did you say you're eating beets?'

The powerhouse singer's next few lyrics are drowned out as Ellen munches on some sea salt and vinegar potato chips.

After confirming that she can in fact hear her, the popular host seems to get a little bit antsy as Adele once again asks: 'Hello?'

'Let's wrap... I'm in a hurry. You're talking so slowly,' Ellen quips as the video continues to jump back and forth between scenes from the sepia-toned video.

The former American Idol judge then suggests: 'It might be easier to hear you if you stop playing that piano.'

'Seriously, speed it up. I'm kind of in a hurry. Just get to the point,' Ellen says, as she becomes increasingly distressed over the slow-moving phone call.

However, it's all interrupted as she gets another call. As she switches over clips from Drake's Hotline Bling video begin to play on the opposite side of the screen.

Ellen breaks out into a huge grin upon realizing it's Drake, but tells him she'll be back after 'getting rid of' her other call, who is just talking too 'slowly.'

She goes back to snacking on her chips when she realizes she has lost both lines trying to manage the call waiting.

The phone rings again and as Ellen picks up she's bid 'Hello,' once again, this time by Lionel Richie in the music video for his 1983 hit.

'Seriously, I can't talk,' she tells the crooner - as he sings 'Is it me you're looking for?' - before quickly ending the call and rolling her eyes.

After the hilarious video ended, and was met with thunderous applause by her audience, Ellen smiled as she joked: 'Call waiting gets me. I don't know how to do it.'

'Is it me you're looking for?' This question receives a quick 'No' from Ellen, who, at this point, is more than ready to hang up the phone

Over it: The star finally hangs up on Lionel, the third call she had received in the comical video, and lets out a sigh of relief to be off of the phone
