Don't do it, Chewy! Harrison Ford plays the hero as he talks Chewbacca out of jumping from a building on Jimmy Kimmel Live

They've had their fair share of arguments appearing on Jimmy Kimmel live in the past, but it seems like things came to a head for Harrison Ford and Chewbacca on Thursday night's show.

It appears that the wookiee threatened to throw himself from a building and had to be coaxed down by the Star Wars star.

In images from the show Chewie is seen standing precariously close to the edge of a building, while Harrison is stood below on the street watching.

And it seems that the hunk made every effort to reach his furry friend, scaling the building to meet him.

The 'animosity' between Harrison and Chewbacca has been going on for years on the Jimmy Kimmel show.

In 2013 Harrison accused Chewie of cheating with 'his wife' and the actor 'stormed' off the set of Jimmy Kimmel refusing to answer questions.

Both Harrison, who plays Hans Solo and Chewie, will be back on cinema screens at the end of next month as Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens, is released.

The highly-anticipated flick has been predicted to earn a record-breaking $615 million worldwide during its opening weekend in December.

The film directed by JJ Abrams will include original Star Wars cast members Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher as well as C-3PO, R2-D2 and Chewbacca.

New additions to the franchise include John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac and Gwendoline Christie.

The screenplay was written by Abrams and Lawrence Kasdan who also has co-written The Empire Strikes Back and Return of The Jedi as well as Raiders Of The Lost Ark.
