'I'm going to call it inappropriate Batgirl': Sandra Bullock jokes about the costume her son Louis wants her to wear for Halloween

Sandra Bullock can be a softie when it comes to her adorable son, but this time she might have to say the dreaded 'No.'

The 51-year-old Oscar winner revealed that she rejected with a big boo the costume Louis picked out for her to wear for Halloween during a visit to Today on Thursday.

Sandra said that Louis is going as a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle and that usually she follows along the same theme, but her plucky tot changed tactics this year.

The outfit he chose? 'I'm going to call it inappropriate Batgirl,' the actress quipped to host Matt Lauer.

The conversation started with Lauer asking Sandra how old her son is now.

Sandra gushed, 'He's five and three-quarters,' before adding that he's going to be a 'Ninja Turtle' for Halloween.

'I'm fine with that,' she went on. 'Usually I match. He asks me to match. This year for some reason he deviated off that plan. He chose - I'm going to call it inappropriate Batgirl.

'I was like, should I be flattered or disturbed? I said I don't want to wear that skirt and those knee-high boots around your friends. He said, No but you "has" to. I go, I don't "has" to do anything.

'So mama decided to get some back-up so I got Pirate Wench and Mime.

'I'm always in awe of those women who commit to the Naughty Nurse at preschool. I can't, It's too early.'

Sandra added: 'He makes me do stuff that I never would do. There's no fooling around now. This is a game-changer, and life is short.'

Speaking about her new film Our Brand Is Crisis, Sandra also talked about THAT mooning scene in the movie.

When Lauer asked her the last time she mooned anybody, Sandra answered tongue-in-cheek: 'Probably within the last year. When I go for mooning, I go for the shebang. You have to shine all the light you can on your subject.

'I'm the most modest person and for some reason that day I had no problem doing my job... I did not saythere was not a stunt person. I'm just saying I had no problem being in character that day.'

Sandra conceded that her role in the film - on which both she and George Clooney served as executive producers - was originally written for a man.

'It wasn't so much I said it should be a woman. It's that when I read it, I heard the voice and I knew how to play it,' Sandra explained.

'Some roles are inherently male and female, but this one didn't need to have male genitalia or female genitalia...

'It was a human role and it was one that I was very familiar with because I know some people that are like that... and are complex and irritating and aggressive and powerful but incredibly broken.'

The A-lister also put to rest any hint that she 'stole' the role from George Clooney.

'I'm here to confirm that at the time he was not attached to this film to play the role,' Sandra said, adding with an amused gleam in her eye: 'I'll steal something from George. It just wasn't this role. I'll steal other stuff like maybe a house in Italy.'
