'I am so blown away': Adele is angel-faced in adorable throwback photo as she thanks fans for supporting recent comeback

Adele hasn't looked back since making her highly-anticipated return to music last week.

But the Hello singer spared a moment to reflect on how far she's come since expressing a desire to 'fix people's hearts' as a child as she thanked fans for their overwhelming support with a previously unseen photo from her school days on Thursday.

Adele, 27, honoured throwback Thursday with an especially nostalgic portrait of her as a child, posted on her social media profiles.

The London-born Grammy Award winner is the picture of cheekiness in the archive school portrait which sees her smile sweetly, showing off her missing two front teeth.

Although there's no denying Adele's blossomed into a beautiful young woman since then, it seems her hairstyle has remained.

The nostalgic snap sees the youngster sporting a curled-under bob which is strikingly similar to her 'do favoured on her new album cover.

The chance to unveil herself in all her pre-fame glory was more than a case of keeping up with social-media trends as it was attached to a special message.

'Throwing it way back with this! Thank you for all the love, I am so blown away. X #TBT,' she captioned the image which she posted on Twitter and Instagram.

The Skyfall hit-maker's touching tribute comes just under a week after her comeback single Hello - her first since the release of the James Bond theme song in 2012 - was played in full for the first time on Nick Grimshaw's BBC Radio 1 Breakfast Show last Friday.

Record-breaker: Since releasing comeback single Hello last week, not only has Adele smashed Taylor Swift's record of most video views in 24 hours but she's also trumped Miley Cyrus' Wrecking Ball video in becoming platinum in five days compared to the six it took Miley

Put the pedal to the metal in some boots like Adele's

Adele is back.

And when she rocked up to the BBC Radio 1 studios she reminded us exactly how much we have missed her buttery smooth voice and very glamorous style. She kept things simple in an all-black ensemble, but check out those killer boots!

They're of course by Christian Louboutin (the little flash of red on the sole was a giveaway!) and we love the silver metal toe cap, heel and buckle details. We have actually spotted Jena Malone, Fergie, Mischa Barton and Diane Kruger all wearing this so-called Chelita style, and although they're actually from the Fall 2012 collection, these boots are bang on trend.

A good pair of ankle boots is always worth investing in, especially ones that can dress up any outfit. So whilst Adele's are now all sold out, click (right) to buy a new season style at Net-a-Porter.

Moments later the accompanying video was released online and it racked up a mammoth 100 million views in just five days.

Rather unsurprisingly, it rocketed straight to the number one spot and sold 165,000 copies in just three days.

According to the Official Charts Company, the chart-topping tune had been downloaded roughly 156,000 times in that same time period.

The straight-talking star - who recently admitted the reason for infamously missing the Skyfall premiere was because her son 'was about to drop out my f***y at, like, any moment' - has been on a whirlwind promotional tour since the unveiling of her comeback song.

Most recently. she features on the cover of culture magazine iD and in the accompanying interview, she told how losing her grandfather ultimately inspired her to pursue a musical career as she developed a desire to 'fix people's hearts'.

She also said that her upcoming third album, aptly titled 25, is about missing her formative years and how you don't appreciate the time until it's passed.

'[My teenage years] were the most real and best moments of my life and I wish I'd known that I wasn't going to be able to sit in the park and drink a bottle of cider again,' she said.

Adele's third studio album will be released on 20 November 2015
