Caitlyn Jenner is named one of Glamour's Women Of The Year alongside Reese Witherspoon as she says she's 'excited about the future'

Caitlyn Jenner has been living her life as a female only since this summer, but already she is receiving a major accolade for her new gender.

On Thursday the 66-year-old former Keeping Up With The Kardashians star was named by Glamour magazine as one of the Women Of The Year.

Misty Copeland, Elizabeth Holmes, Cecile Richards, the Women of Charleston, and the U.S. women’s national soccer team made the cut too.

The ladies will be honored at Glamour‘s 25th Anniversary Women Of the Year Awards.

In the issue that went with the list, the I Am Cait star talked about her position as a role model in the transgender community.

The former Olympian - who was married to Kris Jenner, 59, for two decades - said: 'I am just excited about the future for the first time in a long, long time.

'And that is a nice feeling to have…. To be honest with you, if the worst thing in the world that happens to you is you are trans, you’ve got it made.'

Daughter Kylie, 18, also told Glamour: 'She's happier, so I'm happier, and we connect more.'

Feminist Germaine Greer, who write the 1970 book The Female Eunuch, lashed out at Jenner earlier this month when she accused Caitlyn of 'stealing the limelight' and said that 'misogyny played a big part' in Glamour’s decision to name Jenner one of their Women Of The Year.

Steal Reese's style in a dress by David Koma

Reese Witherspoon has been named as one of Glamour Magazine's Women of the Year alongside Caitlyn Jenner, Victoria Beckham and Misty Copeland.

Those are some pretty inspiring ladies right there and we personally think Reese is a great choice. The Oscar winning actress looks incredible in the shoot for the glossy in a very cool dress by David Koma.

From the designer's Resort 2016 collection it features a thigh skimming asymmetric silhouette, cut out panels and a dash of mesh detailing. It's an elegant but ever so sexy cocktail dress and we love it.

Sadly it's not available to buy just yet so until it is why not check out the current line at Farfetch? Or recreate Reese's look with one of the LBDs in our edit below. We've fallen hard for Anthony Vaccarello's high end version but in lieu of an A-list sized budget there's always Missguided, Asos and Forever 21.

Reese also spoke about her blockbuster success with Legally Blonde

'I was debating whether to do Legally Blonde, and I saw this interview with Gloria Steinem about how important Goldie Hawn’s role in Private Benjamin was for women.'

She added, 'By the end of the movie, the character socked her fiancé in the face at the altar because he didn’t understand who she’d become through her journey.

'I was like, "I feel like Gloria Steinem told me to do Legally Blonde. That’s how Elle Woods is too!"

'She starts out thinking she’s gonna follow a man, but in the end she’s like, "I don’t need you."'

Victoria said, 'did have to find myself and my confidence. And I want to make other women feel the best version of themselves. That’s the same message as the Spice Girls. It’s still Girl Power.'
