He was a blond! Hugh Jackman reveals his childhood golden locks as he shares another nostalgic social media snap

If there's one celebrity we can all count on to dig deeply into their photo collection in honour of Throwback Thursday, it's Hugh Jackman.

The 47-year-old actor treated his Instagram fans to yet another blast from the past this Thursday, this time posting a snap of himself as toddler donning a surprisingly fair head of hair.

'Circa 1970 me and Soot', the Wolverine star wrote next to the scratched photo depicting his childhood self stroking a black and white cat.

It's the latest in a slew of golden oldies posted by the award-winning showman, who recently shared another throwback photo of himself and wife Deborra-Lee Furness, 59.

In the snap, a brunette Hugh is pictured in a denim shirt with a retro mobile phone in his pocket, while one arm rests over the shoulder of his ladylove.

The couple wed in 1996 and share two adopted children together, Oscar, 14 and Ava, nine.

Flash forward: While Hugh now sports a head of much darker hair than that of his youth, the showman seems to have maintained his love for animals, uploading this snap of himself with his dogs recently

But while Hugh has been enjoying one of Hollywood's most loved-up marriages, he has faced some career heartache of late after his highly-anticipated film Pan flopped in box offices.

The Warner Bros production took in just over $15million in North America and slightly over $20million internationally.

The figures don't come close to offsetting the estimated $275million that was spent on the film and its marketing.

Notable film critic Lou Lumenick of the New York Post gave the film zero stars, writing: 'It's got a script that jams in random elements from other blockbuster franchises...a uniformly charmless cast headed by Hugh Jackman, each of whom seems to be performing in a different film,'

Meanwhile, the Les Miserables star is gearing up for the release of forthcoming biopic, 'Eddie the Eagle', a film that follows the life of British Olympic skier Eddie Edwards.

The flick is scheduled for release in 2016, and will also star Taron Egerton and Christopher Walken.
