But even they reacted with horror when Nicki Minaj posted a video of herself laughing manically as she commanded a person in a wheelchair to 'walk'.

The 32-year-old rapper took to Instagram on Saturday night to share the video, taken while she was dressed as a sexy fairy for Halloween.

But the clip sparked a backlash from her fans, who commented saying they believed the short clip was in poor taste.

One follower wrote: 'I guess it's kool to make fun at disable people Smh,' while another commented: 'God will do with her when it is time.'

Nikki attempted to defend her actions after the response, explaining that she thought it was funny as her friend in the wheelchair was not actually disabled.

'That's NOT a disabled person,' she wrote, adding: 'That's my friend in a scooter.'

The video seemed to be taken backstage as Nicki hosted a Halloween party at 1 Oak in Las Vegas, Nevada, on Friday night.

The Anaconda hit-maker risked spilling out of the bust-baring fairy outfit which comprised a heavily-encrusted corset and layered mini skirt as she arrived at the celeb haunt.

Another fan pointed out that Nikki's video was strange, considering the point she made about a Bill Cosby costume being in poor taste.

Ouch: One fan even made light of this re-post Nicki shared the other day of someone wearing an offensive Bill Cosby costume with the caption: 'Our generation is so desensitized.' Her follower responded by commenting: 'Why do people blindly defend their idols stupidity? Meanwhile shes crying about a Cosby costume.'

She had tweeted a snap of the costume, showing a man dressed as Cosby carrying a blonde woman who appeared to be incapacitated with an alcoholic beverage in her hand.

Nicki posted it with the message: 'Our generation is so desensitized.'

The follower, username donkeyfixit, called out Nicki by writing: 'Who cares if the person can walk or not. She still said something ignorant.

In true showbiz-style, Nicki documented her evening's antics on her various social-media profiles.

'I'm a fairy f***ing princess,' she captioned one particularly flattering picture of herself on her Instagram page.

She teamed her stand-out costume with a jewelled tiara and a gold wand.

She didn't scrimp on extra accessories either and sported a diamond cuff and a thinner bracelet in a similar style on her left forearm.

Her make-up required equal effort and professionally-applied contouring accentuated her naturally pretty facial features.

Fluttering fake eyelashes, set off with a generous flick of liner and a glossy pink lip, completed her look.
