Former Disney star Ashley Tisdale is already an actress, singer and producer - but now the 30-year-old is adding a new string to her bow, by turning designer and creating her own collection of T-shirts, something she says she didn't have the confidence to do when she was in her 20s.

The multi-hyphenate has debuted her first line of T-shirts as the creative director of Los Angeles based company Signorelli after teaming up with the brand's designer, Meredith Garrett, to create the collection of flattering tees and tanks that feature playful quotes and graphics.

'I definitely think when I turned 30 I feel like I just became fearless,' Ashley told Daily Mail Online of her latest project.

The budding fashion designer, who celebrated her 30th birthday in July, explained that when she was in her 20s she would hold herself back out of fear of failure.

'Suddenly when I turned 30, I was just like: "Oh I am 30. If I want to do a clothing line I should to do a clothing line,"' she said. 'Why am I holding myself back? I shouldn't have any fears. Who is to say what can happen?'

'Just do everything that you love,' she added. 'I think that is what everyone is seeing right now with all of the stuff I am doing. It is just really because I have the confidence, and I don't have the fear anymore.'

Ashley, who has been acting and singing for more than a decade, said fashion has always been a passion for her, and over the past three or four years she has been focused on finding a way to create her own collection.

The Young and Hungry producer explained that she knew she wanted to start off with graphic T-shirt line and was already a 'huge fan' of Signorelli when she met Meredith.

'We were on completely on the same page. It was so organic,' she recalled, noting that they are going to be extending the collection into an entire apparel line for Fall 2016.

Meanwhile, Signorelli by Ashley Tisdale will be available on the brand's website and in Nordstrom starting on February 10th, 2016.

While showing Daily Mail Online her ultra-soft tees and tanks at The London NYC hotel, Ashley wore one of her own designs tucked into flared jeans and paired with a leather jacket, explaining that her collection can be worn with legging to work out or dressed up with more sophisticated staples.

'When [Meredith and I] collaborate, it just really based off of stuff that I like and what I wear. I obviously want to have a clothing line that I just get to wear myself because it is awesome to have that,' she said.

The shirts, which retail for $39 to $59, come in sizes small to x-large and are meant to flatter a range of body types.

'The fit is really great because is not too oversized,' she said. 'I feel like for any frame it is better to have more of a slim fit, but they are loose in all the right places.'

Ashley said she thinks it is 'amazing' that plus-size models are now being embraced by the fashion industry and noted that 'beauty is all about what is on the inside'.

'Just being confident that is really what is beautiful to me,' she added.

Ashley looked to travel and female empowerment when coming up with the quotes and graphics featured on her new line, and said she loves where we are as women right now because we are so supportive of each other.

'We have come such a long way,' she added. 'Men are really allowing us to be our own bosses and that is such an empowering thing. I was really happy to put that in the T-shirts as well.'

Ashley rose to fame playing Maddie Fitzpatrick in the Disney Channel television series The Suite Life of Zack & Cody from 2005 to 2008 before landing the role of Sharpay Evans in the Disney Channel's television film franchise alongside Vanessa Hudgens and Zac Efron.

But the star has come a long way from the over-the-top looks she wore as a Disney star who relied on her Suite Life of Zack & Cody stylist to dress her for red carpet events.

'I think style always evolves as you grow and learn more about yourself,' she said, explaining that she would were the 'craziest outfits' and her fans still poke fun at her for it on social media.

'I am just like: 'Oh my gosh, I didn't even style myself in that. I didn't even pick that out. It was the most cartoonish - like something you would definitely see on Disney Channel - but I was wearing it on red carpet events because I didn't know,' she said with a laugh. 'I was so young and so new to it.'

Ashley, who launched her own lifestyle website, The Haute Mess, in July, said as a designer, her new venture is helping learn more about the style preferences of her 'amazing fan base'.

As for her own look, Ashley dyed her hair a deep auburn in October, however, she said it had nothing to do with the new pumpkin spice hair color trend - which hadn't heard of before.

'I was strawberry bronde and it was kind of fading because reds fade, and I just ended up going in for a deeper color, and it kind of came out of that,' she said of her hair transformation.

And while she said it is 'definitely more sultry' color, the star, who has also been a blonde and brunette, said the new look doesn't make her feel particularly different because she is always 'bouncing around and changing it up' because she is able to pull off almost any hair color with her skin tone.

Ashley, who said she is 'super into flares' this fall, also has a penchant for mixing high and low as she showed off her Victoria Beckham jeans and a pair of 'super 70s' suede platform heels, which she happily revealed are from the fast fashion retailer Zara.

In addition to running a lifestyle website, designing her own collection, and working with her company Blondie Girl Productions, Ashley is also starring in the upcoming film Drive She Said alongside Jason Biggs and his wife Jenny Mollen.

However, Ashley maintained that she is not running herself ragged.

'I get eight hours of sleep. Oh man, I have to sleep or otherwise you do not want to know me,' she said with a laugh.
