RIP: Dean McDermott conceded on Tuesday that his and Tori Spelling's beloved pet dog Mitzi may have been eaten by coyotes
But when quizzed by TMZ on Tuesday, the 48-year-old admitted it was unlikely they were going to see her again.
'Unfortunately we think coyotes got her in our neighbourhood, which is sad,' he said. 'It's a real drag, unfortunately where we live there's coyotes.'
Although the posters didn't say exactly how major that 'major reward' would have been, the Due South star assured 'it would have big'.

'She was a really close, close pet. We all loved her, the family loved her,' he lamented.
But when reporters asked if the family could ever bring themselves to love again and maybe someday get another dog, his son Liam helpfully jumped in and revealed she'd already been replaced before his dad could formulate an answer.
'We actually already did,' he offered matter-of-factly.
'We got another one, yeah,' Dean added. 'We're always rescuing animals. We've got bearded dragons, dogs, you name it, snakes...'

Mitzi, a 6lb white Maltese/Terrier mix according to his poster, was facing steep odds from the get go as she needed regular medication.
The Beverly Hills 90210 star had placed the posters throughout their Calabasas neighbourhod and made appeals on social media, with the specially set up email address mitzimissing@gmail.com.
Although the 42-year-old claimed the dog was microchipped and had an ID collar, the contact information was outdated.
