Angelina Jolie feared nude bathing scene in By the Sea after double mastectomy... and reveals her late mother inspired the role

Angelina Jolie considered cutting a bathing sequence from By the Sea, because it was her first nude scene since her 2013 double mastectomy.

'I realized it was going to be me [naked] in that bathtub,' the 40-year-old Oscar winner told the New York Times.

'But I told myself, "Put all of that aside." Like, you can’t change or cut this scene because you've had a mastectomy, or because [Brad Pitt and I are] married and people are going to analyze this or that. That would be cheating.'

The pillow-lipped beauty wants the world to know that she and her third husband - who turns 52 next month - are far from perfect.

'If people think these are our particular issues, well, that’s wrong,' Angelina noted.

'But if they want to think we have terrible fights, are imperfect, have insecurities and can be depressed and emotional, of course that’s true. We have problems, arguments. We are two very human, flawed people. And I think that’s a good thing to show.'

Work winter's ice grey hue like Angelina Jolie

Brangelina are a couple we just cannot get enough of. They've not only adopted several children and are super charitable, they're also talented actors and Angelina now a director too, not to mention they both are beautiful human beings and dress fabulously.

In recent years Angelina has adopted a more mature, elegant way of dressing. Long gone are the days of plunging necklines, thigh high splits and curve-clinging bodycon numbers and in are the chiffon materials, cool trench coats and cosy knits.

Here as they stepped out to promote their latest film 'In By The Sea' in which they both star and Angelina directs, the raven-haired beauty donned a chiffon, long-sleeved dress by Luisa Beccaria, an Italian designer Angelina has taken a liking to, heading out just days ago in nude piece by the brand.

The dress isn't available to buy unfortunately, but click right to head to the website. Then get her ice-grey look below with our sweet chiffon picks.

'But by the time we got to the end of the film, we’d argued, challenge each other, disappointed each other, had good days, bad days, all of it.
