Liam Hemsworth shows off bulging biceps in new shoot as he discusses Jennifer Lawrence, sibling rivalry and maintaining his buff body

They've worked together around the clock since beginning The Hunger Games franchise in 2012, so it's no surprise they've formed a strong bond over the years.

And Liam Hemsworth couldn't help but gush about his friendship with co-stars Jennifer Lawrence and Josh Hutcherson during a recent interview with Men's Health magazine.

Speaking ahead of the release of the The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2, the last installment in the series, the 25-year-old actor was quick to reiterate just how close the trio are.

'What’s great about having made such good friends with Jen and Josh is that we’re able to share it all together and experience it as a threesome… You know, we’re really close. Really, close,' the Paranoia actor enthused. 

Though the interview also saw Liam defend Jennifer, also 25, after nude images of the star were leaked online last year. 

'I just don’t understand how someone can do that to another human being. It’s the hugest invasion of privacy you can think of,' he explained.

'She’s such a good person – such a good-hearted person – and for her to be put through that was unfair. It made me upset for her. And it made me angry. Really angry.'

Liam's candid words came alongside a series of shots of the star showing off his bulging biceps in a grey T-shirt. 

Different images show the Australian heartthrob dressed in tight jeans and and an even tighter top and posing up a storm in a black and white hue.  

The younger brother of actors Chris, 32, and Luke, 33, Hemsworth, the former fiancé of singer Miley Cyrus, Liam also opened up about his relationship with his older siblings, admitting he venerated them throughout his childhood.

'I was the youngest, so I was never really anywhere near their physicality. If they wanted to beat me up, they would. But I idolised them,' Liam revealed.

'As a kid, I followed them into anything and wanted to do whatever they were doing. And it was always competitive.' 

Despite looking incredibly bulked up in his new shoot, which Liam says is down to 'cycling, playing soccer or basketball' and 'going for two-hour hikes,' the star admitted he is still liable to binge eating, particularly when he's weeks into filming new movies.  

'I tend to go from one extreme to the other, to be honest. Leading up to a movie I’m usually pretty healthy. But then the few weeks after the shoot I’m mostly eating pizza and French fries and playing Xbox,' he confessed.
